Anderson, 76,of Cooksburg, formerly of Lantz Corners, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, in DuBois Regional Medical Center, DuBois. Born April 14, 1928, in Mount Jewett, she was the daughter of Samuel and Olga Davidson Sorensen. She was married in Mount Jewett Feb. 14, 1948, to John Anderson, who survives. Mrs. Anderson and her husband were the former owners of the Skyline Gift Shoppe & Restaurant at Lantz Corners and the Parkers Indian Trading Post in Cook Forest. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Mount Jewett Chapter of the Red Hat Society. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Karen Bizzak and husband, Jerry, of Kane, Jonilyn Eck and husband, Don, of Warren and Doreen Anderson of Cooksburg; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. She also is survived by a sister, Joyce Harding of Addison, N.Y.; a brother, Howard Sorensen of Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Vianna L. Cyphert Vianna L. Cyphert, 63, of Shippenville, Paint Township, died early Wednesday morning, Jan. 12, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born Feb. 16, 1941, in Banfield, Mich., she was the daughter of Roy Emerson and Aleen G. Lepper Brown. Mrs. Cyphert was the former district representative for Avon in Clarion. She also worked 15 years at the former Clarion Clipper Restaurant as head banquet waitress. Mrs. Cyphert was in charge of day care on Sundays at the Liberty Street Church of God. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Cyphert enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, baking and baby sitting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her neighbor children. Surviving are four sons, Charles A. Hummell and wife, Patty, of Kings Mountain, N.C., Daniel R. Hummell and wife, Kelli, and Perry L. Hummell and wife, Jessie, all of Clarion, and Edward J. Hummell and wife, Sherry, of Walton, Ky.; one daughter, Ann Magoon and husband, Rick, of Hastings, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Ashley, Audrey, Rachel, Logan, Riley, Austin, Morgan, Trish and Dee; and her little neighborhood helper, Hannah. Born Sept. 23, 1959, in Titusville, she was the daughter of Wade Kinch of Tionesta and the late Janet Leonard Kinch. She was a graduate of Clarion University and was manager of computer services for the City of Erie. She was an active member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, St. James Women's Society and the Villa PTA. Surviving, in addition to her father, are her daughter, Loni Kinch at home; her sister, LuAn Horan and husband, W. Gareth, of Glenside; and her grandmother, Gladys Leonard of Oil City. She also is survived by three aunts, Kathryn Rafalski of Carthage, N.C., Beverly Lauer of Tionesta and Betty Poltrack of Atlanta, Ga.; an uncle, Gordon Leonard of Greenville, one niece, Kari Horan; one nephew, Brian Horan; and several cousins. Roger Lee Lambert Jr. Roger Lee Lambert Jr., 32, of 534 Cooperstown Road, Coopersown, died at 3:18 a.m. Wednesday, Jam. 12, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Dec. 28, 1972, in Meadville, he was the son of Roger L. and E. Catherine Timblin Lambert. He was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School. Prior to an accident in 1991, he enjoyed working on his truck, hunting, fishing and bike riding. He was well-known in the area for mowing grass. He also was a DJ. After his accident he was a client at Northwest Training and enjoyed participating in VAHRA. Mr. Lambert was a member of St. Patrick Church. Surviving are his parents of Cooperstown; a brother, Richard Lambett of Cooperstown; a sister, Carolyn Lambert of Cooperstown and her fiance, Steven Confer of Franklin; his paternal grandmother, Mildred Lambert of Cochranton; and several cousins. Born June 12, 1928, in Fertigs, she was the daughter of George Grover and Millie Ausel Paup, and was a lifelong resident of the Venus area. She graduated in 1946 from Cranberry High School. Mrs. O'Neil was a member of Christ Fellowship Church, Old State Road, Venus. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, raising flowers, reading and playing the piano. Mrs. O'Neil was married Sept. 23, 1946, to Robert L. O'Neil, who survives. Also surviving are four sons and two daughters: Susan Morrison and husband, Timothy, of Venus and Florida, R. Scott O'Neil of Las Vegas, Nev., David K. O'Neil and wife, Gail, of Oil City, Patti Jo Campbell of Erie, Curtis E. O'Neil of Venus and Kevin E. O'Neil and wife, Jamie, of Emlenton; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one brother, Mayo Paup and wife, Alice, of Seneca; and two sisters-in-law, Winifred Paup and Helen Paup. Prichard, 95, of 4061 Route 417, Cooperstown, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at her residence. Born Oct. 1, 1909, in Turkey City, she was the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Brown Francisco. Mrs. Prichard was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was a 4-H leader for many years. She also volunteered at schools and hospitals. Mrs. Prichard was married July 19, 1934, to Fred L. Prichard, who died in 1966. Surviving are four children, Kenneth Prichard and wife, Bobbie, of Franklin, Loren Prichard and wife, Linda, of Harborcreek, Mrs. Ed (Joyce) Baum of Cooperstown and Mrs. Gary (Darlene) Barber of Franklin; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Thomas F. Songer Thomas F. Songer, 81, of 692 Conifer Road, Summerville, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, in DuBois Regional Medical Center, DuBois. Born April 19, 1923, in Corsica, he was the son of Earl J. and Julia Aaron Songer. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Songer worked for many years as a self-employed lumberman and as a private contractor in the lumber business. He retired from the Rockview State Correctional Institute where he operated a sawmill. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville and was a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Songer was married in Brookville Feb. 7, 1945, to Stella H. Kane, who died July 29, 1992. Surviving are two son, Thomas F. Songer II and wife, Sara, of State College and Perry K. Songer and wife, Judy, of Montgomery, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Rex (Kathy A.) Allshouse of Brookville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a special friend, Peggy Spare; and one brother, Kenneth Songer of Corsica. Lewis Isaac "Ike" Varner Lewis Isaac "Ike" Varner, 86, formerly of Cottage Hill, New Bethlehem, and Paonia, Colo., died at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, in White Cliff Nursing Home, Greenville, where he had been a resident for the past several months due to failing health. Born April 26, 1918, in Piney Township, Clarion, he was the son of Albert C. and Freda I. McCoy Varner. He was a 1936 graduate of Clarion High School. Mr. Varner worked for PennDOT for 17 years, retiring in 1983. He also worked several years as a manager of Johnny Garneau's restaurants in Ohio and Pittsburgh. Prior to that he worked with his father at Varner Drilling Co. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Varner was a member of the Masons, Coudersport Consistory and the Zem Zem Shrine. He loved spending time with his family, being outdoors and doing crossword puzzles. Mr. Varner was married June 15, 1972, to Ella C. Smith, who died March 17, 1999. Surviving are two sons, Lewis Robert Varner and wife, Marti, of Shippenville and Sam J. Varner of Paonio, Colo.; one daughter, Vikki Young and husband, John, of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Rob Varner of Sligo, Holli Murray and husband, Rod, of West Middlesex, Beth Hawk and husband, Dana, of Sligo, Dawn Herzig and husband, Richard, of Pittsburgh, Annese Bayless and husband, Sean, of Sharpsville, Justin Young and wife, Megan, of Renfrew, Natalie Young of Wellsville, N.Y., and Jay Young of Greenville; and 19 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one sister, Georgina Baker of Brookville; one brother, Paige Varner and wife, Jean, of New Port Richey, Fla.; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Varner of Brookville. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Varner was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Varner; and one great-grandchild, Michael Lewis Murray.
