"Butch" Kunselman Jr., Brookville Angela "Angie" Notarianni, Kane, formerly of Knox and Clarion Lauretta F. Seamon, Sligo, formerly of Monroe Stephen J. Vrboncic, Clarion, formerly of Castle Shannon and Florida Melvin Grant Caldwell Melvin Grant Caldwell, 81, formerly of Knox and Clarion, died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in Hollidaysburg Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg where he had been a resident for four years. Born April 2, 1923, in the Showers homestead near Mechanicsville, he was the son of Harry Bishop Caldwell Sr. and Margaret Showers Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the paratroopers in the European Theater of Operations where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He had been a salesman in the Clarion area for many years and also worked as a club steward. Mr. Caldwell was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion. He also belonged to the Clarion VFW Post No. 2145 in Clarion for more than 50 years. He also was a member of the Craig E. Fleming American Legion Post No. 63 in Clarion and the Franklin Elks Lodge No. 110. Mr. Caldwell was married Dec. 15, 1945, to Charlotte Brindley, who survives. Also surviving are a son, David Melvin Caldwell and wife, Christy, of Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Sara Jane Porter of Knox and her husband, Lt. Col. Steven Porter, serving in Kuwait and Lisa Ann Stewart and husband, Eric James, of Sturgis, Mich.; and eight grandchildren, Albert Wayne Caldwell and wife, Bev, of Hephzibah, Ga., Amy Stewart Nevison and husband, Steve, of Huron, Ohio, Jane Caldwell Leger and husband, Thomas, of Osage City, Kan., Erie Matthew Stewart and wife, Carrie, of Sturgis, Mich., David Grant Caldwell of Atchison, Kan., Matthew S. Porter and wife, Missy, of West Springfield, Stephanie Rae Porter and friend, James Lewis, of Sligo and Sonya Renee Porter and fiance, Daniel Haylett, of Clarion; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Bishop Caldwell Jr. and James Emerson Caldwell; and a brother-in-law Neale V. Brindley. There will be no public visitation. Interment will be in Knox Union Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Ernst Arlene M. Ernst, 80, of Anaheim, Calif., a former resident of Franklin, mother of Linda Hager of Texas, formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Anaheim. Alonzo F. 'Butch' Kunselman Jr. Alonzo F. "Butch" Kunselman Jr., 65, of 983 Mays Road, Brookville, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 9, 1939, in Brookville, he was the son of Alonzo F. Kunselman Sr. and Jessie Deemer Kunselman. Mr. Kunselman was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Clarion Moose Club. Mr. Kunselman was married in DuBois June 25, 1967, to Rebecca A. Mays, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Alonzo F. Kunselman III; stepmother, Katherine Kunselman; three stepchildren, Victoria Rudolph, Mark L. Rhodes and Barbara Coder; one grandchild; and two stepgrandchildren. He also is survived by six brothers, Tom, Robert, David, James, Kenneth and Don Kunselman; three sisters, Shirley Himes, Betty Rhines and Myra Hill; two half brothers, Jimmy Ginnery and Rick Kunselman; three half sisters, Maxine Shearer, Deb Kunselman and Rose; a foster brother, Larry Smith; and a foster sister, Christine Mosgrove. Mr. Kunselman was preceded in death by his parents; his foster mother, Mildred Williams; two brothers, Raymond and John Kunselman; and a half brother, Freddy Kunselman. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Angela "Angie" Notarianni Angela "Angie" Notarianni, 93, of 130 Greeves St., Kane, formerly of Knox and Clarion, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, in the Lutheran Home in Kane. Born Nov. 15, 1911, in Kane, she was the daughter of Frank and Carmella Nocito Esmond. Mrs. Notarianni had worked at Owens-Illinois in Clarion and formerly owned and operated the Knox Theatre in Knox. She was a member of St. Callistus Church, Kane, and the Altar-Rosary Society of the church. She previously belonged to the Altar-Rosary Society in Clarion. Surviving are a daughter and husband, Patricia and James Luton of Shippenville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by two sisters, Margaret Caruso of Kane and Amelia Hermanson of Littleton, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Fragale and Maria Esmond in childhood, and one brother, Ralph Esmond. Seamon, 89, of Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center near Sligo, formerly of Monroe, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in the Clarview facility. Born April 1, 1915, in Cropps Corners, she was the daughter of Harvey and Esther Jones Exley. Mrs. Seamon worked as a domestic for various families in the Knox area. She was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ and the Monroe Community Club, both in Monroe, and the DAR. Mrs. Seamon was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting, tatting, crocheting and knitting. She was married Sept. 3, 1936, to John E. Seamon, who died Feb. 8, 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Amelia Rowe and husband, Ed, of Cambridge Springs; a son, Kenneth Seamon of Monroe; three grandchildren, Gina Knox of Rocky Grove, Dawn Bayle of Erie and Alan Seamon of Saegertown; and five great-grandchildren, Hillary Seamon, Billie Jr. Seaman, Kiyomi Knox, Kai Knox and Emmi Knox. She also is survived by a sister, Anna Jane Mong of Shippenville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Seamon was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Rowe, and a great-granddaughter, Yukemi Knox.
