Tock Sr., 2645 Old Route 322, Franklin Frederick E. Clark, getting it right Roger Lee Lambert J., getting it right Cyril William Aaron Cyril William Aaron of 412 Washington St., New Bethlehem, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare-Shippenville. Mr. Aaron resided in Elderton from 1955 to 1970; Johnstown from 1970 to 1990, and then returned to New Bethlehem. Born Dec. 5, 1924, in Crates, he was the son of Herbert Alexis and Rose Catherine Markley Aaron. Mr. Aaron was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946, holding the rank of aviator storekeeper second class. He was superintendent at Rager Mountain, Johnstown Division, with People's Natural Gas for 35 years. Mr. Aaron was a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He also belonged to the Walter W. Craig Post 354 American Legion, the Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 753 and the Coudersport Consistory. Mr. Aaron also was a member of the Elderton Volunteer Fire Department where he served a term as president. He enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Aaron was married Aug. 17, 1950, to Joan Humes, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Peggy Mills and husband, Rick, of Kittanning RD 1 and Barbara Costa and husband, Bill, of Laurel, Md.; four grandchildren, Michelle Mills Grooms and husband, Brian, Michael Aaron Mills and wife, Amy, Sarah Costa and Matthew William Costa; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Grooms. He also is survived by two sisters, Patricia Kish of Liberty Boro and Mary Jane Kish of McKeesport. In addition to his parents, Mr. Aaron was preceded in death by an infant son and one brother, Herbert Aaron. The Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn is in charge of arrangements. A memorial celebration for family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 403 Penn St., New Bethlehem, with Pastor Richard Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be in Hawthorn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, 305 Main St., P.O. Box 668, Knox, 16232. Edward J. Collins Edward J. Collins, 83, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Oil City, brother of John "Jack" Collins and Margaret Collins Reinsel, both of Oil City, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004. Vianna L. Cyphert Vianna L. Cyphert, 63, of Shippenville, Paint Township, died early Wednesday morning, Jan. 12, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born Feb. 16, 1941, in Banfield, Mich., she was the daughter of Roy Emerson and Aleen G. Lepper Brown. Mrs. Cyphert was the former district representative for Avon in Clarion. She also worked 15 years at the former Clarion Clipper Restaurant as head banquet waitress. She was in charge of day care on Sundays at the Liberty Street Church of God. Mrs. Cyphert was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, baking and baby sitting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her neighbor children. Surviving are four sons, Charles A. Hummell and wife, Patty, of Kings Mountain, N.C., Daniel R. Hummell and wife, Kelli, and Perry L. Hummell and wife, Jessie, all of Clarion, and Edward J. Hummell and wife, Sherry, of Walton, Ky.; one daughter, Ann Magoon and husband, Rick, of Hastings, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Ashley, Audrey, Rachel, Logan, Riley, Austin, Morgan, Trish and Dee; and her little neighborhood helper, Hannah. She also is survived by four brothers, Roger R. Brown and wife, Vivian, and Chris J. Brown and wife, Carol, all of Delton, Mich., John A. Brown of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Jack L. Brown and wife, Theresa, of Hastings, Mich.; and two sisters, Sharon A. Fleming and husband, Frank, of Battle Creek, Mich., and Susan Arroyo of Chula Vista, Calif. Mrs. Cyphert was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dean W. Meyer, pastor of the Liberty Street Church of God, Clarion, officiating. Interment will be in Clarion Cemetery. Ray W. Dillenbeck Ray W. Dillenbeck, 85, a resident of The Caring Place, Franklin, formerly of Turtlepoint, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in The Caring Place. Born March 15, 1919, in Annin Creek Township, McKean, he was the son of Glenn and Sadie Cooper Dillenbeck, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Dillenbeck was a self-employed award winning dairy farmer, working his family's dairy farm on Annin Creek Road, Turtlepoint. He retired in 1989. He attended Birch Grove Mennonite Church and Franklin Free Methodist Church. Mr. Dillenbeck was an Annin Creek Township supervisor. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. Mr. Dillenbeck was married May 7, 1977, to Fannie Pearce, who preceded him in death. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Allen Dillenbeck of Mount Jewett and Cindy Andrews of Carlisle; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Keith Pearce of Franklin; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Dillenbeck of Smethport. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Dillenbeck, and a sister, Ethel Dillenbeck. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Birch Grove Mennonite Church, Port Allegany. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the church with the Rev. John Lapp, retired Mennonite minister, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Ralph Tanner, pastor of the Franklin Free Methodist Church. Interment will be in Annin Creek Cemetery. Margaret E. "Peg" McKisson Margaret E. "Peg" McKisson, 87, of Mays Road, Clarion, died at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Clarion Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1917, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Stella White Irwin. Mrs. McKisson operated Peg's Beauty Shop in Clarion for more than 35 years, starting in 1964. She was a Protestant. Mrs. McKisson was a former member of the Women of the Moose in Clarion. She enjoyed embroidery and cross stitch and in her earlier years, she enjoyed raising horses. Surviving are three daughters, Connie Sterrett of Clarion, Linda Lieberum and husband, Robert, of Marble and Carol Mays and husband, Jim, of Clarion; one son, Melvin "Jerry" McKisson and wife, Betty, of Fisher; six grandchildren, John Lieberum and wife, Lisa, of Bigleyville, Mark Lieberum and wife, Kathy, of Virginia, Jamie Mays and wife, Kim, and Gina Stehle, both of Clarion, and John McKisson and wife, Karen, and Andy McKisson, all of Fisher; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also is survived by two sisters, June Burkett and Betty Smith and husband, Daniel, all of Brookville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McKisson was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dick Sterrett; and a sister, Ruth Hall. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Robert V. Miller, 82, of 1220 Chestnut St., Franklin, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born March 13, 1922, in Rouseville, she was the daughter of Albert and Myrtle A. Thomas Redmond. She was a 1939 graduate of Oil City High School and also was a graduate of Welch's Business College in Oil City. Mrs. Miller retired in 1967 as secretary for the Ohio Department of Commerce. She also worked at one time for Continental Can in Oil City. She was a member of the Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Youth Orchestra, having played the accordion. She also was a member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Port Richey, Fla. Mrs. Miller also was a member of the Hug-a-Pet and Pets Add Life in Florida. Her hobbies were piano, accordion, organ, knitting, crafts and bingo. Mrs. Miller was married March 21, 1952, to Paul Wesley Miller, who died May 26, 1992. Surviving are a son, Roger A. Curley and wife, Doris, of Dublin, Ohio; two grandchildren, Amy Capovilla and husband, Frank, of Danville, Calif., and Jerod Wesley Curley and wife, Paige, of Hermosa, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Amanda Capovilla of Danville Calif.; three stepgrandchildren, Danielle Rickard of Columbus, Ohio, Denise DeVore of New York City and Douglas DeVore of Arizona. She also is survived by a sister, Lois Redmond Green and husband, Richard, of Franklin; a niece, Sharyn Lindsay and husband, Brian, and son, Erik, of Arizona; a nephew, Dale Richard Green and wife, Debbie, of South Carolina and his children, Susan Kelly and husband, Mike, and Kaitlynn and Ryan and Dale Jr. of South Carolina and Jessica and Devin James Shevelle and son, Jeffrey. Other nieces and nephews include Terry Reese and wife, Donna, of Seneca, and sons, Greg Reese and wife, Lelinda, of DuBois and Brian Reese of Pittsburgh and children, Amanda and Kyle; Roberta Phillips and husband, Andy, Kipp Melat and wife, Cherie, of Virginia and children, Perry and Chloe, Kimberly Black and husband, Brett, of Arizona and children, Kaitlyn and Josie; Todd Reese and wife, Dottie, of Maryland, Elizabeth "Betsey" Robinette and husband, Brad, of Montana and daughter, Tia. In addition to her parents of Oil City and her husband, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Reese of Seneca. There will be no visitation. Services will be announced at a later date. Center St., Reno, Nev., husband of the former Tonya Manross of Franklin, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, in Reno, Nev. Donald L. Tock Sr. Donald L. Tock Sr., 72, of 2645 Old Route 322, Franklin, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City. Born Oct. 9, 1932, in Oil City, he was the son of Paul John and Cecil Lindsey Tock. He was a Korean War veteran. Mr. Tock was a retired mail carrier from the Oil City Post Office. He attended the Oil City Free Methodist Church. Mr. Tock was at one time an active member of the Oil City Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mr. Tock was married Aug. 27, 1954, to Glenda Williams, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Darryl Tock of Venus, Randy Tock and wife, Alma, of Franklin, Donald Tock and wife, Alba, of Miami, Fla., Jayne Adams and husband Alan, of Columbus, Ohio, and Darlene Twombly and husband, Dan, of Oil City; and 12 grandchildren, Xochilt Tock, Sabrina and Glenda Tock of Miami, Fla., Kristy and Jeff Twombly of Oil City, Jason and Christopher Tock of Fredricks, Md., Samuel, Craig and Katie Tock of Venus and Chelsea and Joshua Adams of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tock was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert and Gene Tock; and three sisters, Dorothy Puleo, Pauline Daugherty and Katherine Andres. Getting it right - Frederick E. Clark Frederick E. Clark, 64, of Methodist Towers, 160 W. Eighth St., Erie, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at his residence. Among his survivors is a son, Scott Clark, of Warren, Pa. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association. Getting it right - Roger Lee Lambert Jr. Roger Lee Lambert Jr., 32, of 534 Cooperstown Road, Cooperstown, died at 3:18 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Among his survivors are a sister, Carolyn Lambert of Cooperstown and her special friend, Steven Confer of Franklin; and Mr. Lambert's special friends, Mike Winger, Mike Raup, Barry Lang, Dee Brown and Carolyn Bell.
