Weibel, Coudersport, formerly of Oil City Rose "Vicki" Whisner, Clarion Edna Mae Clouse Edna Mae Clouse, 86, of Redbank, Templeton RD 2, Madison Township, Armstrong County, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, following a brief and unexpected illness. Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Tidal, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna Craig Hornberger. Mrs. Clouse was a longtime member of the Tidal Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and Sunday school teacher. She was married Aug. 24, 1940, to George Robert Clouse Sr., who died Dec. 9, 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Juanita Thomas of Tidal; a son, Richard Clouse of Redbank, Templeton RD 2; two grandchildren, Holly Kennedy of Tidal and Alan Clouse of Fairmount City; and two great-grandchildren, Tara Kennedy of Tidal and Claire Clouse of Fairmount City. She also is survived by a sister, Norma B. Stanley of Lockport, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Clouse was preceded in death by one son, George Robert Clouse Jr., Jan. 30, 1959; five brothers, Thomas, Galen, Cleon, Owen and James Hornberger; and one sister, Lenna Reinsel. Lula M. Swartz Crisman Lula M. Swartz Crisman, 81, of Templeton RR 2, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., after a two-week illness. Born Aug. 14, 1923, in Lawsonham, she was the daughter of John and Flora Traister Swartz. She graduated in 1942 from Rimersburg High School and worked as a secretary at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., from 1942 to 1944. Mrs. Crisman was married in Jackson, Miss., Aug. 18, 1945, to Darwin L. Crisman, who survives. She and her husband operated Crisman Motor Service near Widnoon from 1947 to 1966. Mrs. Crisman was a member of the Lawsonham United Methodist Church and the Phoebe Rebecca Lodge in Rimersburg. She was an avid world traveler, enjoyed recent winters in Florida and was a motorcyclist, co-pilot and devoted mother. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Phoebe Crisman of Charlottesville, Va.; and one grandson, Alexander Petrus Crisman. She also is survived by three sisters, Mabel Bearfield, Hazel Craig and Rolla Walter, all of Rimersburg. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crisman was preceded in death by a son, Darwin Luke Crisman, in September 1976; one brother, John Swartz; and two sisters, Mary Swartz and Yvonne Swartz. Friends and family will be received at a Memorial Service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lawsonham United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Eaton officiating. DeWolf, 83, of 15011/2 Bell Ave., Franklin, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at his residence. Born May 11, 1921, in Oil City, he was the son of Lewis C. and Lucy E. Kimes DeWolf. Mr. DeWolf served with the U.S. Air Force for 23 years. He retired after 10 years of service with Franklin Steel Mill. Mr. DeWolf was a member of the Franklin VFW and the Franklin Moose. Surviving are four nephews, Larry Peterson and wife, Becky, Jerry Peterson and wife, Sandy, and Roger Peterson and wife, Bonnie, all of Franklin, and Herman "Pete" Peterson and wife, Sue, of Carlisle; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. DeWolf was preceded in death by a special friend, Ruby Morris, in 1972. Also surviving are her children who kept in touch with Mr. DeWolf: Richard Morris, Susan Floyd, Barbara Morris and Pamela May Morris, all of Billings, Mont. Donna Marie Lesko Donna Marie Lesko, 39, of Parker, Perry Township, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at her residence following a 28-year illness of multiple sclerosis. Born Feb. 17, 1965, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Chambers Lesko. In her earlier years, Miss Lesko performed light duty work at Laurel Manor in Emlenton. She was affiliated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Rimersburg. Miss Lesko looked forward to Sunday rides around the countryside, loved anomals and watching Animal Planet, and spent countless hours sitting in her yard bird watching. Surviving are her 12-year loving companion and caregiver, David Terwilliger of Perry Township; one daughter, Jessica Lesko and granddaughter, Trinity Lynn Rogers, both of Struthers, Ohio; one sister, Barbara Lesko of Struthers, Ohio; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. "Dick" Perrine, 74, of Akron, Ohio, formerly of Oil City, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, after a valiant two-month battle following heart surgery. Surviving are his best friend and loving wife of 26 1/2 years, June Perrine; a son, Paul Perrine and wife, Susan, of Killeen, Texas; two daughters, Janet Tartara and husband, John, of Oil City and Betsi Konic and husband, Mike, of Kent, Ohio; a stepson, Barry Stokes and wife, Ellen, of Norton, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Katie Horn and husband, Jim, of Tallmadge, Ohio, Patrice Harvey and husband, Jeff, of Salem, Ohio, and Shelley Francis of Waterdown, Ontario, Canada; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and loving dog, Georgie. Helen Tyndall Benner Rose Helen Tyndall Benner Rose, 90, formerly of Oil City, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in Seminole, Fla. Born May 26, 1914, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Milton C. and Beulah Davis Tyndall. Mrs. Rose first was married in 1946 to Harold M. Benner, who died in 1968. She later married Howard C. Rose, who died Oct. 1, 2000. Surviving are four stepchildren, Mrs. Catherine Taylor of Erie, Howard T. Rose of Buffalo, N.Y., William C. Rose of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Michael M. Rose of Amherst, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Tyndall, and a sister, Marion Carney. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Stephen Church. Mary Louise Fry Hamilton Smith Mary Louise Fry Hamilton Smith, 88, of Washington Street, Westfield, N.Y., formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at The Waters of Westfield in Westfield, N.Y. She was born March 11, 1916, in Franklin where she was raised by her parents, Joseph Bert and Grace Seavy Fry. Mrs. Smith was a Westfield area resident most of her life. She moved to VanBuren in 1942 and then settled in Westfield. An accomplished chef and cook, she had been employed at the former Lathrop's Lakeside Restaurant (Barcelona Harbor House), Lee's Restaurant and retired from the Portage Inn in Westfield. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Westfield. Mrs. Smith enjoyed cooking and was avid for attending yard sales. Her family was most important to her. Surviving are a son and his wife, Donald L. and Candy Hamilton of Westfield, N.Y.; and three grandchildren, Karen Hamilton of Chicago, Ill., Sandra Hamilton of Woodridge, Ill., and Julie Hamilton of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a son, Robert L. Hamilton; two grandsons Kent Hamilton and Edward Hamilton; and her first husband, Robert B. Hamilton. There will be no visitation. Private funeral services for the family will be held at graveside in Westfield Cemetery. The Rev. Weibel, formerly of Oil City, died Sunday morning, Jan. 23, 2005, in the rectory of St. Eulalia Roman Catholic Church, Coudersport, where he served as pastor. He formerly served at St. Stephen Parish, Oil City, and had coached the Venango Christian High School girls basketball team to the Class A state championship in 1980. Arrangements are incomplete.
