    3. Hi Chuck, Thanks for the info. Were the history books incorrect in saying that? In the book, Pennsylvania Line, it says Clarion County was formed in 1839 from Armstrong and Venango Counties. In the 1840 census you won't find Clarion County. I just wanted to clear this up for anyone that doesn't know. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know. Blessings, Bev From: "Charles A.     3. Bev, federal census did NOT change Clarion from Armstrong or Venango til the 1850 census. Check the Armstrong and Venango census for 1840 township names. General comment I get is "Gee, people sure moved around a lot". Nope, boundries for townships and counties changed.
