This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Hamler/Homler; Rightenberry Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GaB.2ACE/604 Message Board Post: New Information: On the Hamler Family Web Page I am finding more and more descendents of David Hamler/Homler (**b. 1809** of Warren & Sussex Co., NJ)), Wm. H. Hamler/Homler (b. **1807** of Sussex Co., NJ) and now Abraham Hamler/Homler (b. 1791) who lived in Sussex Co., NJ until he married Elizabeth Rightenberry (Riphenberick, Riffenberrick, Rifenberick, Ripenbergh, Rifenbury, etc) in 1818. Then he moved to Pennsylvania which, of course, is just across the Delaware River from New Jersey. Abraham and his family would then live in Clarion County & Lycoming County, PA. He died in 1831. Then, with Abraham Hamler being born in Sussex County, NJ in 1791, it isn't too difficult to add on to the brotherhood Nicholas Hamler/Homler who was b. in 1799 in NJ. His wife was named Pheobe b. 1803 and they eventually moved to Michigan--Lapeer Co. and Ionia Co., Michigan-- where many of David Hamler's descendents would move to. How do I substantiate the relationship between the 4 Hamler men-- Nicholas, Abraham, William H. and David-- beyond "logical thinking" and one family story? Many thanks! Kathleen LPurch6636@aol.com
