Searching for ancestors of Isaac Schwartz/Swartz (b. Abt 1790 - d. 1865). Isaac is my great, great, great grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). They lived most of their lives in Redbank Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Looking for information on his parents, any siblings, where he was born and where he lived before settling in Redbank Township. From his will on file in the Clarion County Courthouse in Clarion, Pennsylvania I know that he had the following nine children. Much of this is also confirmed by information in the "History of the Evangelical and Lutheran Church" in Shannondale, Redbank Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Children of Isaac Schwartz/Swartz and Elizabeth: 1. John* (1808-1881) married to Barbara Coleman* (1813-1881) My great, great grandparents. 2. Adam No information is available. 3. Nancy married to John Yeany. 4. Catherine married to Benjamin Shaffer. 5. Elizabeth* (1816-1874) married to John Yeany* (1809-1900) 6. Christenia* (1819-1877) married to Christian Yeany* (1811-1896) 7. Lydia married to Daniel Reitz. 8. Elizabeth "Polly" (1821-1850) married to Dieter Wolfgang*. (1820-1888) 9. Sarah Jane married to Jacob Wolfgang. *All buried in the Shannondale Zion Cemetery, Shannondale, Redbank Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Any help in tracing the history of this family would be greatly appreciated. Eric Swab Voice: 719/632-0251 Email: eswab@adelphia.net Website: http://users.adelphia.net/~eswab

Bill, Thank you for your response. Yes, we seem to be talking about the same Barbara Coleman b. 24 Mar 1813 d. 31-May-1881. I do not have her parents information, If you do and are willing to share, I would appreciate it. I do have Barbara's children if that would be of interest to you. Your Isaac may be on great interest to me. My Isaac is listed in the 1850 Census as age 60 and in the 1860 Census as age 80. If the 1860 census is correct then 1779 could be his birth date. There is also some confusion about his birth place. What do you have on your Isaac Swartz? My connection to Dietrich is more remote. I am showing Brady Dietrich married to Amanda Swab b. 27-May-1862 d/o Lewis Swab b. 24-Nov-1832 d. 30-Dec-1924. I have more information on this family. I also have a George Dietrich b. 02-Jan-1792 d. 20-Apr-1865 married Susanna Catherine Stahlman. If any of this sound interesting I will send you what I have. I am definitely interested in what you have on Isaac Swartz and Barbara Coleman's parents. Hi, I think we connect!!! Isaac Schwartz, was the son of Adam Schwartz, and wife Rosina. I am still trying to find their home place, as I think Adams sister, was married to my Leonard Dietrich. an immigrant. however Adam and Rosina Schwartz, first show up in Klingers church records, in Lykens twp. dauphin co. Adam and Rosina, had Abraham 8/15/1777, Isaak 9/12/1779,Sarah 9/16/1781, Elizabeth 5/2/1783, Micheal 5/4/1787, Adam 5/4/1787, all these children were baptised at the same time, 9/16/1787. later, thery had a daughter Maria12/20/1791. most of my ancesters, were sponsors for these children. most of these moved on, but Adam and Rosina, died here, as I found them in 1810 cencus, as well as Adams wife Rosina, 1820 so I think they died here in Hubley two Schuylkill co, where I live as they lived next door to my Leonard Dietrich. By the way, his grandson Leonard, move out to Red banks as well, later to Crawford co!!!! now as for Barbara Coleman, she was the daughter of George Jacob Coleman and his wife was Catherine Salada, daughter of John Salada and Margaret Everhart.they move to red banks. George died 8/31/1832.no dates on Catherine. George Jacob Colemans parents were John and Susan Coleman. their children were Carl born 1768, George jacob 1769 and a sister Hannah, born 1770. I decend through Carl. anyway, we have never connected to his parents, we believe he was born about 1745. and handme down info, says his father Carl Kohlman, came into Louisiana 1n 1710. and moved north, I found them living here, in 1772, but know his children were born here in Lykens twp. Dauphin co. a few miles from my home. I have no info on Barbara, or who she married, would love to have it!! same as the info on George Dietrich and Catherine stahlman. they died here, I have a lot of that info, putting it in my Dietrich book, but may have something I don,t. let me know if this connects, as I have a great deal on the Colemans. including George and most of his children!!! Bill, This is encouraging, however, I would need your Isaac's childrens names to make the connection for sure. Do you by any chance have that information? We have no birth information for four of our Isaac's children, it is possible that all 9 children were born in Dauphin Co. We think we know the birth places 2 of their children: Mary Polly Elizabeth Swartz b. 21-Oct-1821 and Sarah Jane Swartz b. 27-Feb-1829 they were both born in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA., if our source is correct. The earliest evidence of Isaac in Armstrong/Clarion County is about 1830 when he bought property in Red Bank Twp. If you don't know the children of Isaac, can you tell me where to find the Klingers Church records? Thanks for the information on Barbara Coleman's ancestors. I will send what I have on Barbara Coleman m. John Swartz and George Dietrich m. Catherine Stahlman to your private email box. If any other reader would also like this information, let me know. Bill, I assume your last name is Dietrich. I would like to put you in my corespondent database. Eric At 10:50 AM 1/6/2005 -0500, dietrichpa wrote: >Hi, I think we connect!!!
