Prestridge, Franklin Patricia A. Carlson Aloisio of Tionesta, formerly of Brentwood, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, in her residence. Mrs. Aloisio was married to Michael Raymond Aloisio, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Michael Shawn Aloisio and wife, Stephanie, and Angela Nicole Madden and husband, James, all of Brentwood, and Nicholas Raymond Aloisio of Tionesta; and grandchildren, Maci, Mitchell, Christopher Joseph and Mackenzie Aloisio and Julia, Matthew and Noah Madden. She also is survived by three sisters, Joy Sandner and husband, Howard, of Pittsburgh, Ingrid Epperson and husband, Carl, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kathy Hrala and husband, Frank, of Bon Air, Pittsburgh; and a brother, Charles Carlson and wife, Victoria, of Kansas City, Mo. Visitation and funeral services were held in the John F. Slater Funeral Home Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh. Box 668, Knox, 16232. James E. Conner, 89, of 2948 Route 66, New Bethlehem, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Sligo. Born May 9, 1918, in Clarion, he was the son of Edward A. and Mary I. Reinsel Conner. He served two tours of duty from 1937 to 1945 with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Conner was employed as a laborer for Crawford Furniture in Fairmount City. He was a member of St. Charles Church in New Bethlehem and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Conner was married Oct. 12, 1940, to Kathryn E. Biehm, who died Aug. 20, 1989. Surviving are three sons, J. Michael Conner of Nicktown. Raymond D. Conner and wife, Jean, of Mayport and Jerome F. Conner and wife, Diane, of Sligo; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, John Conner of Beaver. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Conner was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Harrold and Fredrick Conner; and one sister, Agness Gourley. 'Toby' Moran Edward J. "Toby" Moran, 85, of 55 Mineral St., Oil City, died at 4:10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following an extended illness. Born Nov. 3, 1921, in Oil City, he was the son of Jacob and Barbara Rwonska Moran. Mr. Moran attended the Assumption School and graduated from St. Joseph High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a private first class in the United States Army. Mr. Moran worked many years at The Derrick, Seneca Printing and later at Citizens Bank as a commercial pressman. He was a member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City. Mr. Moran also was a member of the Pulaski Club and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, taking trips to Atlantic City and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He also was an avid reader of western novels. Mr. Moran had been a softball umpire for many years. He was married Aug. 2, 1952, in the Assumption B.V.M. Church to Julia Ann Poweska, who preceded him in death Feb. 21, 1977. Surviving are three children, Kathleen Shirey and husband, Daniel, of Apollo, Edward Moran and wife, Sally, of DuBois and John Moran of Oil City; and three grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Shirey and Julia Moran. He also is survived by one brother, Frank Moran of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Moran was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew, Walter, Chester and an infant, Joseph Moran; and one sister, Sally Michalik. Sunday, July 8, 2007, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following an extended illness. Born Jan. 4, 1952, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Donald L. and Dorothy Louise Hoover Biles. >From 1981 through 1986, Mrs. Prestridge was the executive director of the Easter Seals Society of Western Pennsylvania. During her tenure there, she not only touched the lives of many young people but also aided in fostering in them and their families hope and guidance for the future. In 1986, Mrs. Prestridge left her position with Easter Seals to become a social worker for Venango County Children and Youth Services. Until declining healthy forced her early retirement, she thoroughly enjoyed being with the children and aiding in their welfare. She will be remembered by those, especially the children, who had come to know and trust in her. Mrs. Prestridge was a faithful member of the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing and taking part as a member of the church choir. She also was a long-time member of the Valley Grove School Board. As her health permitted, she enjoyed gardening and especially raising flowers around her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her labrador retriever, Angel. Mrs. Prestridge was married in Tucson, Ariz., Aug. 9, 1980, to Tom H. Prestridge, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kelli L. Prestridge of Franklin; and a special uncle and aunt, Harold "Buzz" Hoover and his wife, Alice, of Mercer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Biles, in 1957. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk St., Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. John V.
