Barrett Francis Howard Bean, 84, of Deemer's Dam Road, Utica, died at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Sugar Creek Station, Franklin. Born June 28, 1923, in Franklin, he was the son of Howard and Violet Russell Bean. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bean retired as a truck driver for Joy Manufacturing. He enjoyed farming and raised horses and cattle. He was married to Margaret Rose Dunlap, who preceded him in death in 1997. Surviving are seven children, Francis H. Bean Jr. and wife, Suzanne, of Utica, Frank E. Bean and wife, Rosina, of Franklin, Thomas E. Bean and wife, June, of Fredonia; Joseph P. Bean of Oil City, Carol Taggart and husband, Dennison, of Tionesta, Peggy Beaton and husband, Michael, of Deridder, La., and Karen Dean and husband, Ronald, of Polk; 13 grandchildren, Francis H. Bean III, Bonnie Sue Attleberger and husband, Ronald, Dennison Russell Taggart Jr., Bobby Joe Miller, Joshua Ellsworth Bean, Andrew Aaron Bean, Benjamin Matthew Bean, Hannah Elizabeth McFeaters, David James Dean, Douglas Kirk Dean, Logan Thomas Bean, Joseph Paul Bean and Paul Lynn Bean; and five great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers and their wives, Charles and Sally Bean of Franklin and William and Shirley Bean of Polk. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bean was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Taggart; three brothers, Richard, John and Isaac Bean; a sister, Ethel Host; and a companion, Martha J. Dunkle, 89, of Dunkle Lane, Knox, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 19, 1918, on the family farm in Beaver Township, he was the son of Ressie Dunkle Berlin. Mr. Dunkle was retired from Knox Glass following many years of service. He also had pumped oil wells for H.B. Beels. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Knox RD. Mr. Dunkle had been a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his cat, Smokey. On April 17, 1940, he married Mildred Mong, who died Aug. 26, 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Frances K. Dunkle of Gainesville, Va.; a son, Daniel J. Dunkle of Kossuth; a granddaughter, Kelly Lyn Fox and husband, Joseph M., of Cranberry; and two great-grandsons, Silas Fox and Joey Fox of Cranberry. He also is survived by two sisters-in-law, Thelma Diamond of Highland Oakes and Anna Jane Mong of Shippenville; a brother-in-law, C. George Nicklas of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace Stierheim McDonough O'Keefe, 90, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Emlenton, died peacefully of natural causes at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Ga. Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Norman L. and Leone M. Wiehe Stierheim. She was a 1934 graduate of the McKees Rocks High School. Mrs. O'Keefe was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, the Lady Emlen Rebekah Lodge and the Richland Grange. She enjoyed dancing and swimming and had a great love for reading. Mrs. O'Keefe worked as a legal secretary for many years at the law firm of Myles R. Lynn Jr. in Emlenton, retiring in 1980. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Carolyn Sampselle and husband, John, of Ann Arbor, Mich., Cathleen Powell and husband, Niles, of Emlenton and Norma Baum and husband, John, of St. Petersburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers and their wives, James Stierheim and wife, Ellen, of Coraopolis and Robert Stierheim and wife, LaVern, of Saxonburg; two sisters, Norma Stierheim of Coraopolis and Leona Gardner and husband, Ron, of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Edwin McDonough and Jerome O'Keefe. A public memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Emlenton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lori Danielson, pastor, officiating. Seitz, 81, of Old Fryburg Road, Lucinda, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Clarion Hospital. Born June 15, 1926, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of Jacob M. and Martha Groner Brothers. Mrs. Seitz lived in the Fryburg-Lucinda area her entire life and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and quilting. On Oct 31, 1942, she married Francis B. Seitz, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sarah "Sally" Crusan and husband, Robert, of Clarion and Cynthia "Cindy" Rapp and husband, Robert, of Tionesta; three sons, James "Jim" Seitz and wife, Patricia, of Lucinda, Gerald "Jerry" Seitz and wife, Theresa, of Marble and Gary Seitz and wife, Barbara, of Venus; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Betty Riley of Pleasantville; and a brother, Floyd Brothers of Columbus, Pa. Mrs. Seitz was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Ryan Crusan; a granddaughter, Geraldine Seitz; two sisters, Viette McDivitt and Ethel Whitman; and a brother, Roy Brothers. Christina King Stark Christina King Stark, 58, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, in The Caring Place, Franklin, where she had been a resident. Born April 10, 1949, in Upper Darby, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Penton. She was employed in the packaging department at Owens Brockway Glass Plant. Mrs. Stark enjoyed crocheting, reading, swimming, watching movies and cartoons, especially "Garfield," and was a fan of Elvis. She also was interested in computers. Surviving are three sons, Jack Frederick Bradley Jr. of Youngsville and Andrew Scott Bradley and Matthew Glenn Bradley, both of Oil City; and eight grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Kate Shields of Springfield and Liberty Beatty of Upper Darby; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. State St., Pleasantville, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, in the Titusville Area Hospital. Born June 24, 1933, in Titusville, he was the son of the late Calvin and Thelma Kerr Warner. He attended Titusville High School. Mr. Warner was a machinist and last was employed for 15 years with Quaker State. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. He was a musician who played guitar, as well as other instruments. He played in several bands during his younger days and loved to square dance and polka. Mr. Warner was a member of the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department where he was dispatcher for second shift. He was married in Titusville June 22, 1957, to Mary Barker, who survives. They couple recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, James L. Warner and wife, Paula J., of Centerville, Brenda Evans and husband, Brian, of Prospect, John M. Seyler and wife, Debbie, of Jamestown, N.Y., and Scott Seyler of Warren; several foster children; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also is survived by three brothers, Donald Warner and wife, Verna, Kenneth Warner and wife, Wilma, and Philip Warner and wife, Karen, all of Pleasantville; two sisters, Sue Peterson and husband, Richard, of Cambridge Springs and Grace Warner and husband, Russ, of Union City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Warner was preceded in death by one brother, Carl "Dewey" Baron; and one sister, Betty Southwick. Friends may call in the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N.
