Second St., Oil City Joseph Alpheus "Al" Widmyer, Hermitage, formerly of Franklin Faye Bonner Faye Bonner, 82, of Geneva, Ohio, formerly of Clarion, died Friday, March 18, 2005, in the Golden Leaf Home, Madison. Born June 9, 1922, in Clarion, she was the daughter of Harry and Blanche Showers. Mrs. Bonner had been a Geneva resident for 42 years and had worked for 22 years at Geneva Rubber Co. She was married in Virginia Oct. 28, 1940, to Herman Bonner, who died in 1984. Surviving are a son and his wife, James and Fran Bonner of Madison, Ohio; two daughters, Joanne Pettit of Geneva, Ohio, and Judy Mock and husband, Ed, of Shippenville; 11 grandchildren, Brent, Dennis, Chet, Matt, Jason, Kipp, Ross, Gretchen, Shannon, Holly and Sarah; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bonner was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcella Ace and Ida Showers; and two brothers, Harry "Pete" Showers and Chuck Showers. Sharon Jean Fasenmyer Sharon Jean Fasenmyer, 49, of Hemlock Lane, Shippenville, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at her home. Born June 14, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Stephen F. and Dorothy E. Perry Toth. Mrs. Fasenmyer was a 1973 graduate of Oil City High School. She enjoyed her cats, Renee, Dristen and Lightfoot, motorcycles, collecting Harley Davidson mmorabilia, the outdoorsand Gordon Lightfoot Music. Mrs. Fasenmyer was married June 8, 1998, to Walter E. Fasenmyer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Nicole Elaine Fitzpatrick and Natale Ann Schmude, both of Tylersburg; and four grandchildren, Mariah Nicole and Laurna Marie Roesch, Alexis Elaine Mellon and Isaih Douglas Smith. Jackson Charles C. Jackson, 85, of Kittanning Pike, Parker, Allegheny Township, Butler County, died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness. Born Aug. 15. 1919, in Allegheny Township, Butler County, at the Jackson homestead, he was the son of Warren and May Wolcott Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed by Quaker State Refining Corp. for 44 years. Mr. Jackson was a life member of the Charles A. Black American Legion Post 598 of Parker. He also was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church. Mr. Jackson enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are two sons and their wives, James A. and Janet M. Jackson of DuBois and David L. and Jocelyn M. Jackson of Parker; a daughter, Beverly L. Kriebel of Parker and her companion, Dave McCune, of Knox; six grandchildren; Jamie Mahaffey, Dean Jackson and Jennifer Jackson, Brice Kriebel, Emily Edwards and Spec. ES Amanda Jackson, serving with the U.S. Army in Baghdad, Iraq; and seven great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Willis L. Jackson of Emlenton and John A. Jackson and wife, Linda, of Parker; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Louise) Miller of Parker; a number of nieces and nephews; and a very close family friend, Paul A. Grazier of Emlenton. Kircher Martha A. Kircher, 73, of Sugar Valley Lane, Parker, Allegheny Township, Butler County, died at 5:55 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2005, in Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Grove City, following an extended illness. Born Feb. 7, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John and Hilda Sullivan Webb. Mrs. Kircher was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Emlenton. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Kircher was married Jan. 25, 1951, to Robert F. Kircher, her husband of 54 years, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and their wives, John H. and Suzan Kircher and Robert F. Jr. and Christine Kircher; three daughters and their husbands, Joanne M. and Robert McKown, Patty K. and Bill Falkowski and Jenni A. and Ron Wells, all of Pittsburgh. Marki, 79, of Oil City, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City. Born Nov. 16, 1925, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Aubrey T. and Mildred Washlon Lewis. Mrs. Marki owned and operated Lewis Hardware in Oil City for several years and enjoyed talking with the customers when they came into the store. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church in Oil City and then became a member of St. Joseph Church in Oil City. Mrs. Marki was an avid bingo player and enjoyed taking fishing trips and trips to Atlantic City and Niagara Falls to gamble. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was married by a justice of the peace in July 1950 to Daniel J. Marki, who died March 29, 2003. Their marriage was blessed May 11, 1967, by the Rev. W.J. Maloney in St. Joseph Church. Surviving are a son, Daniel J. Marki Jr. of Oil City; nine grandchildren, Daniel Marki and wife Lynette, of Little Park, Iowa; Bob Marki and wife, Stacy, of Fargo, N.D., Jamie Caldwell and husband, Ed, of Fort Belvoir, Va., Katie Marki, Susan Marki and Daniel J. Marki III, all of Oil City, Jenny Poston and husband, Donald, of Clintonville, and April Marki and Gwen Marki, both of Hockley, Texas; and nine great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Beverly Spatharos of Fairview; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Marki was preceded in death by a son, Derek Marki; and a brother, Ernie Lewis. Lemuel DeWayne Sharrar Lemuel DeWayne Sharrar, 77, of Scottsdale, Pa., formerly of Oil City, died at 9:20 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, following an extended illness. Born Aug. 12, 1927, in Fertigs, he was the son of Francis and Edna B. Cavenor Sharrar. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Sharrar had worked for Boyd Rhodes Construction, then moved to Scottsdale where he retired from Penline Service-Supply. He had been an active member of the Scottsdale American Legion, Fireman's Club and Scottsdale Moose No. 194. Mr. Sharrar enjoyed hunting with friends and his brother-in-law, Clarence Hale, and being in the outdoors with his dog. Surviving are his companion, Virginia Stennett of Scottsdale and her family; his children, Linda Bryan and husband, Bill, of Franklin, Vicki Willyoung of Franklin, Carol Whitmer Urey of South Carolina, Lois Sharrar of Oil City, Nancy Hines and husband, John, of Cooperstown and Boyd Sharrar and wife, Sandi, of Dayton, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Stephen Hale and Clarence Hale Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five children who died at birth; a daughter, Lisa Mae Sharrar Baker; two granddaughters, Amanda and Chasity; a brother, D. Joseph Alpheus 'Al' Widmyer Joseph Alpheus "Al" Widmyer, 92, of Hermitage, formerly of Franklin and Sharon, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. Born Sept. 21, 1912, in Franklin, he was the son of Elmer H. and Aura Begley Widmyer. He was a 1930 graduate of Franklin High School and moved to Sharpsville in January 1937. Mr. Widmyer was employed at the former Shenango Furnace, Sharpsville, where he was a foreman at the No. 3 blast furnace. He retired in 1969 with 28 years of service. Following his retirement, he was employed for eight months at Bissett Chevrolet in Mercer and later with Shernisky Construction in Sharpsville. Mr. Widmyer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sharon. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and walking, along with traveling, having visited Mexico, Alaska and California. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and was most happy when surrounded by his family, particularly his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Widmyer was married June 10, 1937, to Ellen Marie Krepp, who died April 17, 2004. Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Johnston and husband, Donald, of Meadville; one son, Arthur Lee Widmyer and wife, Gerda, of Sharon; four grandchildren, Chris Widmyer and wife, Jill, of Wheatland, Scott Widmyer and wife, Maryann, of Sharon, Troy Widmyer and wife, Barb, of Sharon and Stacie Simmons of Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Allysa, twins Ian and Madeline, and Miranda and Jacob Widmyer. He also is survived by one brother, Henry Widmyer and wife, Josephine, of Franklin. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Widmyer was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia, and a brother, Rufus.
