Walizer, Golden Living Center, Oil City Shirley J. Weaver, Knox Wayne L. Buck Hilyer, Marienville Linda Reymore memorial set David Charles Baer, 63, of Franklin, went to God on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. Born Jan. 1, 1946, in Rochester, N.Y., he was the son of Charles and Martha Baer, of Frederick, Md., formerly of Ellwood City. Mr. Baer was a graduate of Penn State University where he was a member of the Acacia fraternity, later earning his master's degree from Duquesne University. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare for 35 years where he was known across the state for his training excellence. Mr. Baer's work brought him across Pennsylvania frequently where he was requested to speak at key conferences and assemblies. His professional dedication, excellence and expertise are widely known across the state's staff development organization. Mr. Baer's varied interests included PC construction, HAM radio operation (N3HIX) and kayaking. His long time love for motorcycles was stranger to no one, an interest he shared with his sons. Mr. Baer enjoyed a large network of family and friends who he stayed in close touch with. His kind, patient and personable manner will be greatly missed. Mr. Baer was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin.. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baer is survived by his wife, Lynne A. Baer of Franklin; three sons, Charles and his wife, Carol, of San Francisco, Calif., Alex of Philadelphia and Christopher of Pittsburgh; two step-daughters, Gretchen Krellner and her husband, James, and Heather Krawick and her husband, Bryan, all of Franklin; a grandson, Benjamin Krellner; a brother, James Baer, and his wife, Carolynn, of Fairfax Va.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Vivian Tatters of East Brady. There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street, with the Rev. David Janz, officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.huffchapel.com Richard Frederick Fleischmann, 81, of 707 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Md., formerly of Oil City, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at the Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md. Born July 4, 1927, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Harry Frederick Fleischmann and Charlena Reynolds Fleischmann. He was married in 1949, in Oil City, to the former Dolores Elaine Miller, who preceded him in death Dec. 12, 2003. Mr. Fleischmann was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. After returning from the war, Mr. Fleischmann had worked as a printer for The Derrick in Oil City, and later was employed as a printer for the Government Printing Office in Washington D.C., retiring in 1988. While living in Oil City, Mr. Fleischmann was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church. He loved to golf and also enjoyed baseball. Mr. Fleischmann is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Fleischmann and his wife, Deborah Jean, of Ellicott City, Md.; a daughter, Diane M. Fenby and her husband, John R. Jr., of Leslie, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Kyle Fleischmann, Rachel Fleischmann, Andrew Fleischmann, Kelsey Fenby, Phillip Fenby, Troy Fenby, and Michelle Volker; and five great-grandchildren, Morgan Volker, Brandon Volker, Keagan Fenby, Tristan Fenby and Carly Fenby. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Philip H. Lillard, 81, of 522 W Third St, Oil City, died at 2:40 a.m Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, at The Caring Place in Franklin, as a result of a fall on the ice on Christmas Eve. Born July 13, 1927, in Warren, he was a son of the late Edward and Florence Raines Lillard. He was married Aug. 19, 1950, in St. Stephen Church, to the former Patricia Leicht, who survives. He graduated from Cranberry High School and was an employee of Pennzoil for over 40 years until his retirement. Mr. Lillard was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Eagles Club where he was known as "Pops" to his friends. Mr. Lillard enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, playing cards, hunting, fishing and camping at Kibbe's Island. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lillard is survived by five children, Diana of Warren, Daniel and his wife, Sheri, of Lake Stevens Wash., Christine of Oil City, Gregg and his wife, Janet, of Oil City, and David and his wife, Janice, of Seneca; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Leicht of Oil City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Everett. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Morrison Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St Stephen Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Walizer, 69, of Golden Living Center in Oil City, passed away at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, after an extended illness. Born Aug. 16, 1939, in Damariscotta, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lane and Adelade Lane. She was married Nov. 25, 1964, to Don Walizer, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1998. Mrs. Walizer graduated from Lincoln High School in Maine. She was employed as a secretary at the state health center in Seneca. Mrs. Walizer was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of Polk Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed bingo, making cakes and traveling, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Walizer is survived by four children, Darryl Walizer of Ohio, Darrin Walizer and his wife, Jeanette, of Las Vegas, Nev., Dawn Stryffeler and her husband, Dave, of Franklin, and Debbie Stoops and her husband, Michael, of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Erlyn Lane and Dennis Lane, both of New Harbor, Maine; and four grandchildren, Zach and Gracie Stryffeler, both of Franklin, and Taylor and Brielle Stoops, both of Slippery Rock. Linda Reymore memorial set A memorial service for Linda Lee Reymore, who died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist Church on Buffalo Street in Franklin. Ms. Reymore, who lived at 206 11th St. in Franklin, died at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie. Food will be provided at the memorial service.

Born July 8, 1921, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Jerome L. and Helene Virginia Boehler Clouse. She was married Nov. 17, 1945, in Oil City, to Marshall Roydon Bailey, who survives. After graduating from Oil City High School in 1939, she attended the Commercial Business College in Franklin for two years. During World War II, she served in the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Bailey worked as a banking secretary at BB & T Trust in Easton, Md. She also worked at Washington Township High School as a secretary. A resident of Talbot County, Md., since 1975, Betty was a member of all Faith Chapel in Tunis Mills, a docent for the Talbot County Historical Society, former vice president of the Talbot County Women's Club, a member of the Choptank American Antique Arts Association, the Woman's Club of St. Michaels and served as a St. Mary's Square docent. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bailey is survived by two children, Deborah Bailey Spinazzola and her husband, Michael, of New Castle, Del., and Marshall "Jay" Bailey and his wife, Jacky, of Sewell, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Brandice C. Heckert and her husband, Jeff, Brittany N. Patterson, Jay Scott Bailey and his wife, Stephanie, and James Bailey. Booher, 65, of 25 Lake St., Stoneboro, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 18, 2009, at home of natural causes. Born April 3, 1943, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Robert G. and V. Jean Mook Barnes. She was married Aug. 15, 1963, to Eustace N. "Sonny" Booher Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 3, 1999. Mrs. Booher was a 1961 graduate of Franklin High School. For more than 10 years she worked in the Security Department of Allegheny College of Meadville. Mrs. Booher also worked in the deli at McKean's Shurfine of Sandy Lake. Also, along with her husband, she operated a family farm at Booher's Corners for many years. Most of all she was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Booher was of the Methodist faith and in earlier years sang in the church choir. She loved to play bingo and was an avid Steelers fan. She had a talent for decorating and enjoyed creating new things. She enjoyed going fishing. Mrs. Booher enjoyed visiting with her friends at Lakeview Manor and served as secretary of its tenants' association. Mrs. Booher is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Reiser and her husband, Paul L., of Stoneboro; three sons, Christopher N. Booher and his wife, Deanna, of Mercer, Robert V. Booher of Sandy Lake, and Shawn J. Booher of Seminole. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild to be born in July; a sister, Suzanne Hores and her husband, Edward, of West Chester, Ohio; and a brother, William J. Barnes and his wife, Nancy, of Franklin. In addition to her parents and wife, Mrs. Booher was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Barnes. John "Jack" Mansfield, 85, formerly of Oil City, passed on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, in Redmond, Ore. following an illness. Born Oct. 3, 1923, he was the son of the late Marshall H. and Helen End Mansfield. Mr. Mansfield was a graduate from Oil City High School Class of 1942. During his junior and senior year, he worked part-time as a butcher for the North Side A&P store. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 during World War II. He served on the USS Manley, USS Portland and the USS Sheridan APA51. After proudly serving his country, Mr. Mansfield worked as a butcher for many years. Then he worked as a car salesman, giving a unique gift of a wooden nickel with the caption "Hi neighbor" to all of his customers. Mr. Mansfield is survived by his wife, Marie of Redmond, Ore.; a step-daughter, Jeanne of Redmond, Ore.; a step-son, Bill of Redmond, Ore.; four children from previous marriages; and four sisters and five brothers, all raised at 12 Hone Ave., Oil City. Gary L. Parks, 63, of Knox, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at his residence. Born Jan. 26, 1946, in Eau Claire, he was the son of the late Charles and Pauline Stocker Parks. He was married Dec. 31, 1968, to the former Mona Kriebel, who survives. Mr. Parks was a retired bus driver, having worked for Country Trails Bus Tours in Clarion and Campbell Bus Company in Slippery Rock. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era. Mr. Parks enjoyed biking, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Parks is also survived by two children, Marcie Parks and Kevin Parks and his wife, Amy, of Knox; two grandchildren, Austin Parks and Tyler Parks, both of Knox; a sister, Lulabelle Emery of New Castle; two brothers, Harold Parks of Slippery Rock and Bob Parks of New Castle; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Parks; and three brothers, Ralph Parks, John Parks and Jim Parks. Shirley Schilling Sanders, 86, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Franklin, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009. Mrs. Sanders was married to Edward King Sanders, and he preceded her in death in 1963 in Franklin. She was a graduate of MacMurray College in Illinois. She had lived in Sarasota since 1966 and worked in real estate for many years, selling some of the first condominiums on Longboat and Lido Keys with I.Z. Mann and later Arvida Corp. Mrs. Sanders is survived by a son, Lee Sanders of Prescott, Ariz.; a daughter, Libby Sanders Sloan of Paris, France; two granddaughters, Brooke Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas, and Julia Sloan D'Silva of New York City; a grandson, Christophe Sloan of New York City; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Sloan of New York City.

Williams, 21 Oakwood Drive, Oil City Getting it right - Nancy Jean Hodgson Ruth E. Bish, 91, of 853 Creek Road, New Bethlehem, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at her residence. Born Feb. 4, 1918, in Kellersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Foy Willison and Gertrude M. Furlong. She was a member of Oakland Church of God in Distant. Ms. Bish was a clerk for Reddinger's Market, A.S.R. and Comet Market. She also worked at Herbert's Market. She was also an auditor for Mahoning Township. Ms. Bish was a 59-year member of American Legion Auxiliary. She was active in her church and republican committee. She loved being around her family and friends. Ms. Bish is survived by four children, Larry Nelson and his wife, Trudy, of Petersburg, Ohio, Shirley Ortz and her husband, Paul, of New Middletown, Ohio, Sylvia Shoemaker and her husband, Herb, of Distant, and Dianne Downs and her husband, Marlin, of New Bethlehem; a sister, Elsie Renolf of Ellsworth, Ohio; and 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bish was preceded in death by three spouses, Chester Andrew Nelson, William Brocious and Bruce Bish; a son, Harold Nelson; two grandsons, Harold Andrew and Henry Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Heather Powell and Kaden Nelson; and four sisters, Edna Sample, Della Henderson, Bessie Chessman and Grace Witt. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Cecil Willison, Delbert Willison, John Willison, Merle Willison, Reed Willison, Frank Willison and an infant Willison. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn and also from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oakland Church of God. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oakland Church of God with pastors Dottie Kunselman and Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County. James Charles Edwards, 55, of Tionesta, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Dec. 28, 1953, in Meadville, he was the son of the late Lawrence David and Elda Elizabeth Bish Edwards. He was married July 28, 1975, to the former Emma J. DeLoe, who survives. Mr. Edwards had lived in the Tionesta area for the past eight years. He had previously lived in the Seneca area. He was employed at Veolia Environmental Services in the waste management department. Mr. Edwards' hobbies included collecting miniature garbage trucks, hunting and he enjoyed collecting scrap. He had served in the National Guard from which he was honorably discharged. In addition to his wife, Mr. Edwards is survived by two daughters, Emma Jean Burkett and her husband, Robert, of Tylersburg, and Amy Jo Markley and her husband, Mark, of Tionesta; two sons, James C. Edwards Jr. and his fiancée, Barb Flinspach, of Shippenville, and Matthew Edwards of Tionesta. He is also survived by a brother, David L. Edwards of Seneca; a sister, Elda Rose VanWomer of Franklin; and six grandchildren, Lacey J. Edwards, Natasha Burkett and Robert Burkett Jr., all of Tylersburg, and Matthew Goodman, Stephen James Jr. and Michael Harriett, all of Tionesta. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a sister, Donna King. Vera Marie Fink, 72, of Hopewell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at the home of her daughter in Clarion. Born April 22, 1936, in Six Mile Run, she was a daughter of the late Robert Edward Earl and Emma Margaret Edmiston Hastings. She was married March 31, 1956, in Shippensburg, to Lowell Thomas Fink of Hopewell, who preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1995. Mrs. Fink was a 1954 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School. Before marriage she worked at the Bedford Springs Hotel. She devoted her adult life to raising five children and being a homemaker. Mrs. Fink was a member of Kearney Union Church and enjoyed nothing more than studying the Bible in depth. Most important of all, she wholeheartedly loved the Lord and lived the precepts she studied in His word. Bish, 91, of New Bethlehem, passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 15, 2009, at her residence. The Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn is in charge of arrangements. Nancy Jean Hodgson, 72, a lifetime resident of New Bethlehem, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, Feb. 15, 2009, at her home. Born Feb. 6, 1937, in Distant, she was the daughter of the late Clayton "Scruffy" Colwell and Lois Shumaker Colwell Davis. She was married June 1, 1957, to Paul G. "Pete" Hodgson, who preceded her in death July 2, 2002. Mrs. Hodgson graduated from New Bethlehem High School in 1955. She belonged to the Bread of Life Church in Fairmount City, where her son pastored. Mrs. Hodgson was an office manager for Crawford Furniture and retired from there due to poor health. She continued part-time with several businesses she conducted from her home. She was a member of the Nu-Be Rubee Red Hat Society in New Bethlehem. Mrs. Hodgson was a vivacious, fun-loving individual who loved helping people and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. If she was needed, she was available. She also looked forward to the H.B. Colwell family reunion. Mrs. Hodgson is survived by a son, Jeffrey Paul Hodgson of New Bethlehem; a sister, Eleanor Shaffer and her husband, Robert, of Knox; three brothers, Richard Colwell and his wife, Sue, of Rhode Island, Alfred Colwell and his wife, Janet, of Maryland, and George Fackender and his wife, Loretta, of New Bethlehem. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Pastor Fred Drayer of New Bethlehem; and her dog, Sweet Pea. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hodgson was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fackender. Mr. Morrison graduated from Salem High School in 1938, and then attended the Toledo School of Meat Cutting. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic and an ambulance driver. He was a long-time member of the Seneca United Methodist Church, where he served on the board of trustees for many years, and was also a committee member for the parsonage building project. Mr. Morrison enjoyed woodworking as a hobby, and made small furniture and many craft projects. He was employed as a butcher for several area markets, including Loblaw's, the A&P, and Quality Market. He retired from Quaker State as a tank truck driver in 1982. He was married on Feb. 15, 2002, in the Seneca United Methodist Church to the former Violet L. Alden, who survives. Also surviving are three step-daughters, Cindy Yargar of Nickleville, Jenny McGinnis of Parker, and Eileen Trulick of Worthington; two step-sons, James E. Alden of San Diego, Calif., and Gary D. Alden of Oil City. Several step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandson, and two step-great-granddaughters also survive. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Myrna Ashbaugh of the Clairview Home in Sligo; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Richar and his wife, Kay, of Bucyrus, Mo.; two daughters, Donna Schroeder of Ashville, Ohio, and Sally Costello and her husband, Michael, of Downers Grove, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Norma Richar of Oil City; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Donald Lyman of Tonawanda, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife of more than 66 years, Mr. Richar was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Haller; a son, William C. Richar; and a granddaughter, three brothers and one sister. Roscoe Larsen Speer, 78, of 683 Speer Road, Cooperstown, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca following a lengthy illness. Born July 20, 1930, in Oakland Township, he was the son of the late Warren A. Speer and Marie C. Larsen. He was married Nov. 17, 1949, at the parsonage of Dempseytown Evangelical United Brethren Church by the Rev. P.L. Griffin to the former Anna Mae Pritchard, who survives. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary last fall. He was a 1948 graduate of Oil City High School. Mr. Speer retired from Joy Manufacturing in 1992 after more than 36 years as a machinist. He was also part-owner of Speer Bros. Store in Dempseytown with his brother, Bill, from 1950-1955. Mr. Speer was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church in Dempseytown where he served in various positions and sang in the church choir all his life. He enjoyed farming and hunting. Mr. Speer was a member of Rouseville Lodge 483, Valley of Oil City Lodge and the Scottish Rite of New Castle (32nd Degree). He was an Oakland Township supervisor for 42 years, president of the Venango County Township Supervisors Association for 11 years, a member of Oakland Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Oakland Grange. In addition to his wife, Mr. Speer is survived by three children, Glenn Speer and his wife, Joyce, of Franklin, Cindy Weber and her husband, Jack, of Franklin, and Margaret McAlevy and her husband, Ed, of Franklin; six grandchildren, Chris Weber and his wife, Terri, of Cooperstown, Jason Weber of Pittsburgh, Ashley Kerschner of Franklin, Colleen Speer of Franklin, Heather Speer of Franklin and Erick Speer of Franklin; and three great-grandchildren, Brianna Weber of Cooperstown, Logan Kerschner of Franklin and Ashlyn Tucker of Franklin. He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Martin of Erie; two sisters-in-law, Doris Speer and Mary Persign; and several nieces and nephews. She was employed for many years at the former Grandview Convalescent Center. She will always be remembered by family and friends as a kind and loving person with a big heart who enjoyed living life to its fullest. She enjoyed music, watching movies and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Born Nov. 16, 1924, in Franklin, she was the daughter of the late Louis Cole and Mary Knoch. She was married July 18, 1953, to Clarence W. "Bud" Kline Jr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kline retired in 1987 after 17 years as head nurse at UPMC Northwest. She was also a nurse at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia from 1946-1948. She was a member of Rocky Grove Presbyterian Church, Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary, AARP, RSVP (Caring Place volunteer, VNA) and a church deacon. Mrs. Kline was a 1942 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and a 1945 graduate of Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed her family and friends and Bible studies. Mrs. Sparks enjoyed her flower beds, painting, cake decorating, mowing grass, yard work and doing things for others. She traveled with her husband and children while he served in the U.S. Army until he went to Korea. She loved gospel and country music, enjoyed reading Christian fiction and loved to cook. She loved everyone and thought always of others. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sparks is survived by one son, Daniel J. Banner, Fryburg Joseph Michael Finland, Knox Clyde Matson Jr., Lakeview Drive, Strattanville (Fisher) Dolores McCracken, Arizona, formerly of Franklin Emma Lou Blum Williams, Buffalo Street, Franklin Cletus H. Banner, 82, of Fryburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca following a short illness. He was born Aug. 19, 1926, to Frank and Maude Weaver Banner, and he was a lifelong resident of the Fryburg area. Mr. Banner was a graduate of Shippenville High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Saipan during World War II. He was married June 9, 1951, to the former Rose Brown, who preceded him in death Nov. 27, 2003. Mr. Banner was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg. He worked at PA Neiderriter Lumber/Koppers Lumber as a lumber grader for 41 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a 61-year member of the Fryburg Sportsman's Club and was an avid hunter. Mr. Banner was also a local scrap dealer and enjoyed listening to country western music while he worked. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, and he loved to reminisce about growing up surrounded by a large family. He is survived by four sons, Stephen Banner and his wife, Dianne, of Lucinda, David Banner of Fryburg, Thomas Banner and his wife, Cheryl, of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert Banner of Parker; one brother, Joseph Banner of Clarion; and one sister, Cathleen Lander of Erie. Also surviving are grandchildren Sarah Parker and her husband, Derek, of Brentwood, Jenna Banner of Erie, Amber Banner of Guys Mills, Joshua Banner of Goldsboro, N.C., Alicia Banner of Colombus, Ind., Cassandra Banner of Clayton, N.C., and Brainna Banner of Colombus, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Eugene Banner, Emma Miller, Marion Allaman, Ruth Bauer, Doris Allaman, Ron Banner, Russ Banner, Edward Banner and infant brother Bernard Banner. Born Dec. 30, 1941, in Bradford, he was a son of the late James Joseph Finland and Cora Mae Freeman. Mr. Finland married Judy Ann Buchanan, who survives. He was a truck driver for Bradford Pipe and Supply until that company closed, then he was employed in various jobs until he was affected with declining health. Mr. Finland attended Mt. Joy United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dog, Buddy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Joseph Michael Finland and his girlfriend, Robin, of Turnip Hole, William Wesley Finland and his wife, Stacey, of Bradford, and Merle "Mike" James Finland and his girlfriend, Valarie, of Knox; and two daughters, June Marie Hunsberger of Milford, Ind., and Amy Jo Cary and her husband, Chris, of Sligo. Mrs. McCracken had worked in the meat department at Riverside Market for many years, and she previously worked at the A&P Grocery and at Joy. She also taught water aerobics at the YMCA. While in Franklin, she was a past president of the Franklin American Legion auxiliary and a member of the Civic League, and she was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Mrs McCracken enjoyed living in sunny Mesa, Ariz., for the past four years. While residing at Springdale Village, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Surviving are five daughters, Susan Eisenklam and her husband, Peter, of Mesa, Ariz., Kathy Farmer of Anchorage, Alaska, Barbara Engles and her husband, Harry, of Oil City, Debbie Licht of Meadville and Diane Bustard of Gray, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was married Nov. 29, 1945, in the Free Methodist parsonage in Oil City by the late Rev. L.J. Lindsey to Harry William Williams, who preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1993. Mrs. Williams was a 1943 graduate of Oil City High School, and upon graduation she worked at Oilwell Supply. >From 1968 until her retirement, she was a cook at Seventh Street Elementary School in Franklin. As a teenager, Mrs. Williams came to faith in Jesus Christ and faithfully served her Lord throughout her lifetime. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Franklin for more than 60 years. During her many years there, she served as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, Bible school worker, Sunday School superintendent, board member, sang in the choir and provided special music and special readings on many occasions. In her later years, she made phone calls to shut-ins and was in charge of the card ministry to members and friends of the church. Mrs. Williams will be remembered for her friendliness, kindness, compassion and sense of humor. She was a devoted, godly mother and grandmother and treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams is survived by four children, Gary L. Williams and his wife, Marilyn, of Oil City, David L. Williams and his wife, Donna, of West Windsor, N.J., Mark E Williams and his wife, Dee, of Franklin, and Karen S. Myers and her husband, Dennis, of Oil City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jo Pottle, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, and the Rev. Linda Deeter, chaplain of The Caring Place, officiating.     3. The Derrick, February 11, 2009: Cletus H. Banner, Fryburg Barbara McFarland McFadden, Grove City Dolores McCracken, formerly of Franklin Timothy D. McKissick, Blue Jay Lane, Miola Cletus H Banner, 82, of Fryburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at UPMC Northwest following a short illness. The Faller Funeral Home Inc. of Fryburg is handling arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Thursday in The Derrick. Dolores McCracken, 79, formerly of Franklin, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday, Feb, 9, 2009, at the Eckstein Center, Hospice of the Valley, Scottsdale, Ariz. The Huff Chapel in Franklin is handling arrangements. A complete obituary will be published Thursday. Barbara McFarland McFadden, 72, of East Gilmore Road, Grove City, Wolf Creek Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. Born Nov. 2, 1936, on Oregon Road, Grove City, Springfield Township, Mercer County, she was the daughter of Floyd C. and Marie Stone McFarland. She was married July 20, 1956, to Gale McFadden, who survives. Mrs. McFadden loved gardening, teaching children's Sunday school, singing in the choir and singing with the Sweet Spirit Women's Ensemble in her church. She worked at Lazarus department store for 10 years while living in Erie. She was a homemaker and a wonderful, godly woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She had a generous heart and a loving spirit. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McFadden is survived by three sons, Mark McFadden and his wife, Chris, of Jamestown, Ohio, Thomas McFadden and his wife, Sharon, of Waynesville, Ohio, and David McFadden of Grove City; a daughter, Pamela McMurray and her husband, David, of Grove City; seven grandchildren and one grandchild who is also on the way. She is also survived by a dear sister, Faith Shaw of Grove City; and three brothers, Ronald McFarland and his wife, Mary, of Grove City, Richard McFarland and his wife, Barbara, of Houston, Texas, and David McFarland and his wife, Liz, of San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. McFadden was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Chuck McFarland, Raymond McFarland and Floyd McFarland Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Donald Shaw. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. McKissick, 47, of Blue Jay Lane, Miola, Clarion, died at his home Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. Born June 3, 1961, in Clarion, he was the son of Janet Bish McKissick of Strattanville and the late Ray T. McKissick Jr. He was married Oct. 29, 1983, to the former Traci Hoffman, who survives. Mr. McKissick was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clarion and the National Rifle Association. He had been employed at Sealy Mattress in Strattanville. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. McKissick is survived by a son, Zachery McKissick, who is serving in the U.S. Army; a daughter, Megan McKissick and her fiance, Wesley Whitlatch, of Fisher; five brothers, Michael McKissick and his wife, Roxann, Kevin McKissick, David McKissick and his wife, Deb, Mark McKissick and Carey McKissick and his wife, Sonia, all of Strattanville; and a grandson, Hunter Whitlatch of Fisher. Mr. McKissick was preceded in death by his father and by his grandparents, Ray and Lillian McKissick and Quenton and Mildred Bish. The book does not have any Bopp's or baptismal records in it. What it does have is a listing of parishioners at that time along with their birth dates and their parents and grandparents if known. I hope you enclosed a donation along with your request to the church and then a wait of at least six months is not uncommon. If you get tired of waiting you could try the Erie Diocesan Archives.
