McSparren Jr., 15 Gateway Drive Mary Kathryn "Punky" Morck-Ward, Virginia, native of Oil City Mary B. Zurisko, Marienville Robert 'Bob' L. Brockmann Robert "Bob" L. Brockmann, 87, of Fairview Township, Erie County, formerly of Franklin, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004. Born Jan. 31, 1917, in Columbus, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry A. and Charlotte Schultz Brockmann. Mr. Brockmann was a 1935 graduate of Corry High School and a 1939 graduate of Penn State College, where he majored in forestry. He also attended Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Following graduation, he worked for two years as a PennDOT surveyor. Mr. Brockmann also worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Forests and Waters and the U.S. Forest Service as a farm forester. He was employed in 1945 by First National Bank of Meadville, becoming manager of the farm department. He later became vice president of the bank. Mr. Brockmann opened First National Bank of Franklin in 1950, where he served as president. He also served as vice president of business development and was branch administrator of the bank's southern region. He was involved in many community organizations including serving as former president of the Franklin chapter of the Red Cross. He was a charter member of the Venango County Industrial Development Corp., served as a board member and treasurer of the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce and was voted man of the year in 1977. Mr. Brockmann was a board member of the Franklin parking authority and was a member of Franklin Area School Board. He also was a board member of the Franklin Area School Building Authority and Franklin Goodwill Industries, as well as a board member of Franklin Hospital. Mr. Brockmann is survived by his wife, Harriett O'Neill Brockmann; one son, Peter D. Brockmann of Naples, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Thelma Jutare Brockmann; one granddaughter, Eve, of San Francisco; and three sisters, Charlotte Lopus of Vienna, Md., Elizabeth Henry of Morristown, N.J., and Martha Hulteen of Glenview, Ill. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brockmann was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Dearing Brockmann, who died in 1980; one son, Frederick W. Brockmann, who died in 1989; one sister, Mary Kolender; and two brothers, Ernest and William Brockmann. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie. Leonora Chadwick Leonora Chadwick, 82, of Clarion, formerly of Export, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004. Born March 24, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Tillie Baldgay Willig. Among Mrs. Chadwick's survivors are two sons, Raymond G. Chadwick Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Augusta, Ga., and Dr. Kirk Chadwick and his wife, Kelly, of New Bethlehem; three granddaughters, Courtney A. Chadwick of Pittsburgh, Kelly E. Edsall of Macafee, N.J., and Lindsey N. Chadwick of Leeper; one brother, Ben Willig and his companion, Ruth Kipp, of Export; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chadwick was preceded in death by a brother, Rudolph Willig; and a sister, Catherine Willig. 'Junior' Delo Richard E. "Junior" Delo, 78, of Colwell's Campground, Knox RD 2, died at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his residence. The David C. McSparren Jr., 34, of 15 Gateway Drive, Oil City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at UPMC Northwest. Born Feb. 16, 1970, in Oil City, he was a son of Robert C. McSparren Sr. and Karen A. Morrison McSparren of Oil City. Mr. McSparren was a 1988 graduate of Oil City High School and attended Slippery Rock University. He graduated in 1993 from Clarion University. He had lived from 1994 to 2003 in the Latrobe area, living in Oil City most of his life. Mr. McSparren worked as a cold finishing supervisor at Latrobe Steel where he had worked from 1994 to 2003. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Oil City, and a member of the Latrobe and Oil City Eagles clubs. Mr. McSparren played football and assisted with Special Olympics while at Oil City High School. He was an avid golfer, played softball in Latrobe and Oil City and was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Mets fan. Surviving are his parents; a sister, Wendy M. McSparren of Verona; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. McSparren was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frankie Morrison and Irene Mock Morrison; and his paternal grandparents, Harry W. McSparren and Bertha P. Wilson McSparren. Mary Kathryn 'Punky' Morck-Ward Mary Kathryn "Punky" Morck-Ward, 55, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in Virginia after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 6, 1949, in Oil City, she was the daughter of William A. and Kathryn Dudley Morck. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Gretchen and Allen Aldridge of Slater Path, N.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, William A. "Bill" Jr. and Kathy Morck of Goodview; several nieces and nephews, Kappy Johnson, Missy Pickard, Allen Aldridge Jr., Dudley Rose, Stacy Graves and Garth, Robert and William A. Morck III; several great-nephews and nieces, Kate, Ben and Cameron Johnson, Mallory and Chase Pickard, Justin and Mathew Rose, Mary, Emily, Rachel and Sophie Aldridge, Chelsea and Taylor Graves and Wesley and Cameron Morck; and a dear friend, Jack Pierson. Zurisko, 81, of Marienville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Aspinwall. Born March 10, 1923, in Library, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Guiseppe DeRose and Pasqualina Fortino DeRose. Mrs. Zurisko graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Marienville. Before her illness, she was active in a senior citizens organization and the Marienville Area Civic Association (MACA), and she was a volunteer at Snyder Memorial Healthcare. She was married Oct. 17, 1953, to Joseph Zurisko, and he preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1990. Mrs. Zurisko is survived by her son, Walter DeMao and his wife, Judy, of Natrona Heights; two grandchildren, Christine T. DeMao and Bernadette L. DeMao, both of California; one brother, Frank DeMao of California; and one sister, Amelia DeRose Homes, also of California. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Zurisko was preceded in death by three brothers, Orlando DeRose, Steve DeRose and Joseph De Rose; and one sister, Emma DeRose Mennito. At Mrs. Zurisko's request, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church in Crown with the Rev. David Poulson officiating. Bartholomew William C. Bartholomew, 76, of Parker Apartments, North Wayne Street, Parker, formerly of Clintonville, died at 10:25 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at his home after a sudden illness. Born Dec. 17, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of Frank J. and Olive Tindal Bartholomew. A veteran of the Korean War, he was inducted Oct. 30, 1950, into the U.S. Army Reserve and was discharged Sept. 26, 1956. Mr. Bartholomew was a supervisor for ITT Continental Baking Co. in Youngstown, Ohio, retiring after 30 years of service. He was affiliated with St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Murrinsville. Mr. Bartholomew was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his grandchildren. He was married to Helena Carney, who died Nov. 30, 1975. Surviving are four sons, David W. Bartholomew and wife, Sherri R., of New Wilmington, Robert B. Bartholomew and wife, Anna, of Corpus Christi, Texas, William C. Bartholomew and wife, Diane L., of Kennerdell, and Kurt M. Bartholomew of Utah; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Martin of North Carolina. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Bartholomew was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Frank Bartholomew; five sisters, Edna Price, Olive Tritt, Deloris Payne, Anna Thomas and an infant, Charlotte Bartholomew; and two grandchildren, Heather and Amy Bartholomew. Born March 18, 1927, in Glassport, she was the daughter of William and Ida McClellan Hinchey. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and Carlow College, Pittsburgh. She moved to Franklin in 1959. Mrs. Brickley had worked for several years as the youth director at the Franklin YMCA and also worked as a social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and The Franklin Club. Mrs. Brickley enjoyed shopping and being a mother and grandmother. She was married Sept. 9, 1950, to Thomas A. Brickley, who died Dec. 21, 1995. Surviving are three daughters, Christine Campbell and husband, Charlie, of Silver City, N.M., Margaret Brickley of Philadelphia and Kate Arthur and husband, George, of Crestview Hills, Ky.; two sons, Paul Brickley and wife, Lisa, of Sarasota, Fla., and Tim Brickley and wife, Kay, of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren, Ellen Anderson, Luke Anderson, Chad Brickley, Kristy Brickley and Katie Brickley. Martin Sr., 97, a resident of The Caring Place, Franklin, formerly of Arnold, Pa., and Woodstock, Ga., died at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004. Born Aug. 28, 1907, in Johnetta, he was the son of Casimar D. and Assunta Morelli Martz Martin. Mr. Martin previously was manager of shipping and receiving at Alcoa/New Kensington Works in New Kensington. He also was associated with Martin's Drug Store in Arnold. He was a member of the Cooperstown and Bethel United Methodist churches. Mr. Martin was a life member and president in 1948 of the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Association. He was a life member and chief of Arnold Fire Co. No. 1. He was president of the Arnold Chamber of Commerce and president of the advisory board of the Tri-City Salvation Army in New Kensington, as well as many other civic organizations. Mr. Martin also was a member of the Lower Burrell Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus in New Kensington. He was married Feb. 14, 1950, to Rose Patricia Vogel, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Samuel A. Martin and wife, Becky, of San Dimas, Calif., and the Rev. Joseph P. Martin Jr. and wife, Susan, of Cooperstown; and four grandchildren, Andrew Martin of Atlanta, Ga., Emily Martin of Philadelphia, Julie Ann Martin of Cooperstown and Christopher Scott Martin of Denver, Colo. He also is survived by a brother, Carl Martin of Arnold; a sister, Mary Simone and husband, Thomas, of Boca Raton, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by four brothers, Samuel, Herman, Anthony and Ernest Martin; and four sisters, Millie DiPasquale, Lillie Matello, Rose Gentile and Irene Grayson. Schettler, getting it right Betty Arlene Cyphert Betty Arlene Cyphert, 80, of Vowinckel, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, 2004, in Clarion Hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1924, in Barnett Township, Forest County, she was the daughter of William H. and Nellie Kerns Silvis. Mrs. Cyphert was married in Greenwood United Methodist Church Jan. 24, 1943, to Francis B. Cyphert, who died Jan. 6, 1995. She operated the North Pine Grove General Store with her husband. She also worked at the Cook Forest Inn. Mrs. Cyphert was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, crocheting and her family. Surviving are a son and his wife, Larry and Theresa Cyphert of DuBois; four grandchildren, Estelle Milligan, Teresa Lynn Martinelli, Becky Wolfgang and Carey Cyphert; and eight great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Dorothy Fox of North Pine Grove; and a number of nieces and nephews. Louise Barnes DeWoody Louise Barnes DeWoody, 99, of 1625 Center St., Salem, Ore., formerly of Franklin, died at 11:54 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, in Wilson House Nursing Home, Oregon. Born Feb. 28, 1905, on Black Hill Road, Franklin, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Agnes M. Evans Barnes. As a child, Mrs. DeWoody knew the Black family for whom the road is named, playing often at their house. Mrs. DeWoody graduated in 1923 from Franklin High School and went on to college to become a teacher. She spent her entire career as a second grade teacher at Cranberry Elementary School, retiring in the early 1970s. Mrs. DeWoody's hobbies included gardening and reading. She also had a lifelong love for learning. She was married to Orrin "Dee" DeWoody, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a niece, Carol Crownnoble Wilson, and her family. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. DeWoody was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Steward and Edna Crownoble Utsinger. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Robert W. Interment will be in Old Sandy Cemetery. Marjorie L. 'Peg' Galey Marjorie L. "Peg" Galey, 85, of Marienville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in the Clarion Hospital. Born June 20, 1919, in Tarentum, she was the daughter of Frank and Lois Weir Shearer. Mrs. Galey was a member of the Marienville United Methodist Church and the Marienville Bridge Club. After raising her children, she worked part-time as a home decorator while living in Connecticut. Mrs. Galey was married July 21, 1941, to James P. Galey, who died May 2, 2000. Surviving are three daughters, Marjorie A. Galey of Falls Church, Va., Jeanne Galey of Marienville and Lynn Dee Galey Lesie and husband, Timothy, of Poultney, Vt.; one son, James P. Galey Jr. of Coventry, Conn.; four grandchildren, Jimmy, Laura, Giorgos and Grace Galey; and two nephews, Don Christie of Saxonburg and Gary Christie of Tarentum. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Galey was preceded in death by a sister, June Christie, and a brother, Al Shearer. Dan Richter, pastor of the Marienville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the North Forest Cemetery, Marienville. Charles A. McGregor Charles A. McGregor, 80, of 8 Meadow Lane, Titusville, died unexpectedly at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in the Titusville Area Hospital. Born May 8, 1924, in Titusville, he was the son of Emory and Laura Woodworth McGregor. Mr. McGregor attended the Titusville schools. He was a veteran of World War II, drafted into the U.S. Army March 9, 1943. He served with the 185th Infantry, 40th Division, where he was a communication sergeant. He was honorably discharged Dec. 19, 1945, at Camp Atterbury, Ind., with the rank of sergeant. Following his discharge, Mr. McGregor returned home to work at Struthers Wells Corp. He later worked in the water department for the City of Oil City and was a machinist for Worthington Steel in Reno. Mr. McGregor returned to Titusville in 1965 and opened McGregor's Gulf Station, which he still was operating at the time of his death. He was a member of Titusville Lodge No. 754, F. &.A.M., Oil City Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite New Castle Consistory and the Colonel Drake Shrine Club. Mr. McGregor also was a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 264, the Bruce Shorts Post No. 5958 VFW and the Cleo J. Ross Post No. 368 American Legion. He was married in Oil City March 29, 1947, to Joan Bromley, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Charles H. McGregor Jr. and wife, Valerie, and Timothy P. McGregor and wife, Shari, all of Titusville; five grandchildren, Jeff, Autumn, Chad, Ryan and Shawn McGregor; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. McGregor was preceded in death by six brothers, Earl M. "Pickles" McGregor and Earl's infant twin, Harry L. "Chip" McGregor, Paul A. McGregor, Raymond P. McGregor and Floyd W. McGregor; and three sisters, Marjorie M. Thomas, Ellen Marie McGregor and an infant. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Gordon B. Alice McCagne Morrison Alice McCague Morrison, 78, of Marienville, formerly of Sewickley, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, 2004, at her home in Marienville. Born June 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Dorothea Cooper McCague of Sewickley. She was a graduate of Madrira School of Virginia. Mrs. Morrison had taught kindergarten before her marriage to John Alden Hays, who died in March 1982. In August 1990, she married Alger Morrison, who survives. "Al," as she was known, had an inexhaustible amount of energy that she directed toward her seven children and her community. Mrs. Morrison was a member of St. James Church in Sewickley and had attended both St. Mary Church in Crown and St. Ann Church in Marienville. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are five daughters, Mary Mathews, Christi Hays and Carol McLaughlin of Sewickley, Alice Hoesch of Phoenix, Ariz., and Barbara Tidone of Matawan, N.J.; and one son, John Hays of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Williams worked for many years as a secretary for Sorce Inc. near Shippenville, retiring in 2001 due to a disability. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Curllsville. Mrs. Williams was a past president and member of the Clarion Zonta Club and a past president and member of the Foxburg Free Library board. She was a judge of elections of Parker City First Ward for many years. Mrs. Williams was married Aug. 8, 1979, to David P. Williams, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and husband, Tammy and Matthew Zacherl of Shippenville; a son and wife, Thomas and Dalene Bickel of Wilmington, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Sara Grace and Jacob Zacherl of Shippenville and Skylar Bickel of Wilmington, N.C. She also is survived by a sister and husband, Gloria and Tim Campbell of Moscow, Russia; a brother and wife, J. Duane and Lana Harriger of Sligo; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Harriger of Sligo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Harriger. Mr. Moore was a lifelong cattle and dairy farmer at the Moore family farm. He was a lifelong member of East Unity Presbyterian Church, and he served as a session member for numerous terms. He was a 1955 graduate of Cranberry High School and was a well-known basketball player in his younger years. He later graduated from Bell & Howell School of Electronics. Mr. Miller coached and managed the Cranberry Girls softball teams and the Women's Softball League in Oil City. He retired in February 1999 from Culligan Soft Water Inc. after 41 years of service. Mr. Miller enjoyed fishing, archery, hunting and being outdoors. He was married in the Seneca United Methodist Church Nov. 28, 1958, to the former Nancy Goodman, who survives. "Gene" Lyons, 81, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Fort Walton Beach. Born Sept. 15, 1923, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Leslie Lloyd Lyons. After graduation from high school, Mr. Lyons entered the Army Air Corps Cadet Program in December 1942, flying missions as a navigator bombardier with the Eighth Air Force. After the war, Mr. Lyons completed pilot training and flew for the United States Air Force. While stationed in Japan, the Korean War broke out and he flew 50 missions in the B.26. During the Bay of Pigs, Mr. Lyons was stationed in Guatemala to train pilots and was made an honorary member of the Guatemalan Air Force. During his career Mr. Lyons graduated from Air Command and Staff College and Edward Air Force Base Flight Test School among others. He received numerous decorations and commendations. After serving 20 years in the Air Force, he retired with the rank of major. Mr. Lyons then flew for Air America throughout South East Asia. When he returned to the United States, he attended Florida State University where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. He then went to work for the Florida Department of Commerce. After his second retirement, Mr. Lyons returned to Shalimar, Fla., where he had a home since 1949 and began substitute teaching at Meigs Junior High School in Shalimar. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mary Eck Lyons of Shalimar, Fla.; a son, Douglas Lyons and wife, Marsha, and three granddaughters, Blair, Erin and Shannon, all of whom reside in Tallahassee, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Eglin West Gate Chapel of Emerald Coast Funeral Home, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., with Chaplains Glenn Bright and Mark Roberts, officiating with military honors. Ripple, 78, of 400 Broadwood Towers, New Bethlehem, died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born July 1, 1926, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of Homer G. and Margaret E. Heitzenrater Dunmire. She also had a stepmother, Veda McCracken. Mrs. Ripple was retired from Rolo in Punxsutawney and Sylvania in Brookville. She was a member of the Nevin Memorial United Church of Christ in Frogtown and served for a number of years on the consistory of Trinity United Church of Christ in Alcola as a trustee and deacon. Mrs. Ripple also was a member of the American Legion Unit No. 354 in New Bethlehem. She volunteered at the Thrift Shop in New Bethlehem from its inception in 1950 until cancer prevented her to work. Mrs. Ripple was married March 31, 1949, to Albert L. Ripple, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, William G. Ripple and wife, Joann, of Kentwood, Mich., Albert L. Ripple Jr. of Climax, Charles E. Ripple of Widnoon and John M. Ripple and wife, Paula, of Oak Ridge; and seven grandchildren, Bill, Lydia, Bryan, Matthew, Shena and Seth Ripple and Joshua Walker. She also is survived by a sister, Helen R. Berger of Punxsutawney; a brother, Phillip H. Dunmire of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ripple was preceded in death by a brother, Laurence "Sparky" Dunmire; a sister, Wanda Williams; a stepbrother, Leroy P. Neal; and a stepsister, Corissa McCracken. Charles Henry Schill Charles Henry Schill, 73, of 6637 Higginsville Road, Higginsville, N.Y., a Lucinda native, died late Friday evening, Oct. 29, 2004, in Stonehedge Nursing Home, Rome, N.Y., where he had resided for the past year. Born Nov. 30, 1930, in Lucinda, he was the son of Henry and Helen Swartzfager Schill. He was a graduate of Lucinda High School and Clarion College where he was an outstanding football player and was the recipient of many awards. Mr. Schill was married in Springville, N.Y., Aug. 20, 1955, to the former Mary Jane Anger, who survives. Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved to the Oneida, N.Y., area. Mr. Schill was employed as plant supervisor with the former Oneida Royal Heater Corp. in Oneida, N.Y., and Utica Boiler of Oneida in Utica, N.Y. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved gardening. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Pamela Guy of Higginsville, N.Y.; a son-in-law, William Guy of Oneida, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Marla Guy of Higginsville. O'Neil, Sr. Mr. O'Neil was retired from Polk Center after 25 years as a dietary worker. He was a member of A.S.C.M.E. Union. Mr. O'Neil was a big Steelers fan. He enjoyed people and his friends. Pae, 66, of Lincoln Court, Shippenville, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 4, 1938 in Dauphin, he was the son of the late Maurice Edward and Sadie Wright Pae. Mr. Pae was a 1956 graduate of Steelton High School. He attended the Valley Forge Military Academy for one year. He graduated from Penn State in 1956 with a bachelor of science degree in physical education. He received his masters degree from Shippensburg University. He played halfback for the Penn State football team that played in the first Liberty Bowl in 1959. He also played baseball at Penn State. Mr. Pae was a teacher and football and baseball coach in the Central Dauphin School District and at Steelton-Highspire High School. He was an assistant football and baseball coach for Clarion University, retiring as a football coach in 1987. In 1997, he retired from teaching at Clarion, where he was a professor emeritus. Mr. Pae was married July 6, 1963, to Mary Lou Herbert Pae, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Debra (Stephen) Robey of Atlanta, Ga. and Cynthia (Bryan) Pae-Moebius of Atlanta; two brothers, Robert Pae of Dauphin and Michael Pae of Dauphin, and many nieces and nephews. Rae-Kathryn Lawson Penix Rae-Kathryn Lawson Penix, 35, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Oil City, died in her sleep of a massive stroke Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Penix was born April 22, 1969 in Franklin. She lived and attended schools in Oil City until 1982. At the age of 13, she moved with her mother to Detroit where she resided until her death. She is survived by her husband, Jason Penix, Sr.; a daughter, Ashley, and two sons, Denzel and Jason Jr., all of Detriot. Also surviving are her father and step-mother, Albert and Nancy Lawson of Oil City; her mother, Lydia Polley of Detroit; a brother, Albert Lawson, Jr. of Midland; a sister, Cynthia Polley of California; a step-sister, Missy Ciko of Stubenville, Ohio; her maternal grandmother, Thelma Polley; two nephews, Jalen Lawson and Tyler (Ciko) Nesbitt, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rhoads, 63, of 5 Woodbine Drive, Greenville, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004 at UPMC Horizon in Greenville, Mercer County. Born April 26, 1941 in New Bethlehem, he was the son of Kenneth E. and Josephine Space Rhoads. Mr. Rhoads was employed for five years at Wickes Lumber in Saegertown and for 12 years as an electricity, plumbing and heating manager at Carter Lumber in Jamestown before retiring. Mr. Rhoads was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Greenville. He was a former Jamestown Lions Club member. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed bowling in Greenville Bowling Lanes Thursday night league. Mr. Rhoads was married on Oct. 21, 1963 to Rosemary Constable Rhoads, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Becky (Douglas) Hilditch of Indiana and Kristina Rhoads-McCartney of Greenville; a son, Ellwood "Chip" Rhoads of Greenville; six grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Rhoads of Leeper and Sally (Michael) Jaquish of Cary, N.C.; two brothers, Scott F.
