Mary, I have Susanna Catherine Stahlman 1791 - 1861 m. George Dietrich and d/o Johann Stahlman and Elenor Nellie McCrory. I have Moses Stahlman m. Christena Himes 1822 - 1877. They had the following children: Christina 1849, Jacob 1851, Franklin Moses 1853, Christina Jane 1856 David Benjamin, but no Catherine. Second St. Stacey Sue Estes, Grove City Phyllis Gandolfi, Clarion Marion J. Goetz, Franklin Chester E. "Sonny" Hartzell, Knox Shawn A. McCall, Parker Kenda R. Mosier, Oil City Susan J. Barrett Pence, Harrisville Thomas A. Schettler, Oil City Delphine W. Thompson, Franklin Ruth Beatrice Bodner Ruth Beatrice Bodner, 89, and Oil City native and a resident of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., since 1972, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. Born on December 13, 1915, in Oil City, she was the daughter of Harry Wiley and Bertha Hogue Heckathorn. Mrs. Bodner was educated in Cranberry and Oil City area schools. She was gifted musically having played piano by ear, studied voice, and conducting her own local radio program during the 1940s. She was fondly known to many as Mom Bodner or Aunt Ruth. Mrs. Bodner was employed in Oil City at Brody's, Freems, the City of Oil City and the Oil City National Bank. She also served 10 years in the mission field for the Presbyterian Church at Sheldon Jackson Junior College, Sitka, Ala., Ganado Mission, Ganado, Ariz., and Menaul School in Albuquerque, N.M. Mrs. Bodner worked from 1971 until her retirement in 1988, at Maplebrook School, Amenia, N.Y., where the old wing of Evans Hall was named in her honor June 6, 1977. She was the recipient Oct. 29, 2004, of the Serena Merck Memorial Award for Innovation in Practice, an international award presented by the National Association of the Dually Diagnosed, for her compassionate work in this field. She was married to Frank Bodner in 1933. Mrs. Bodner is survived by an only daughter, Shirley R. Henry and her husband, Burl, of Poughkeepsie; two grandchildren, Lawrence E. Henry of Brewster, N.Y. and Nancy L. Brown and her husband, Steven, of Berwyn; two great-granddaughters, Karen E. and Emily K. Brown of Berwyn; a niece, Joan E. Bowman and her husband, Regis, of Natural Bridge Station, Va.; and two cousins, Harold Rugh and his family of Oil City and Harlan Rugh and his family of Franklin. Mr. Cassatt was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Barnett Township, Forest County, to the late Darwin and Mary Jane O'Donell Cassatt. He lived five years in Sheffield and formerly lived in Marienville where he worked for the Marienville Glass Plant, from which he retired. Mr. Cassatt was a former district and post commander for Marienville VFW Post 1424. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Mr. Cassatt enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stacey Sue Estes Stacey Sue Estes, 45, of 1037 Barkeyville Road, Pine Township, Grove City, died at 9:18 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at her residence following a sudden illness. Born Nov. 5, 1959, in Grove City, she was a daughter of Gaylord Clyde and Alyce Carl McCarl and lived at Barkeyville Road for 20 years. She was a 1978 Grove City High School graduate. Ms. Estes worked at Polk State Center, Polk, where she was a personal care assistant for seven years. She also worked for the office of personnel management in Boyers. Ms. Estes was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Grove City, where she was active as a quiz team coach, a caravan guide, junior church, nursery and leading women's Bible study. She also was affiliated with the Christian Motorcycle Association, Pennsylvania Prayer Warriors, Chapter 425, and worked with Sandy Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are one sister, Sherry Alldredge and her husband, Wayne, of Taylor, Ariz.; two brothers, Lanny McCarl of Columbus, Ohio, and Kim I. McCarl and his wife, Sandy, of Mercer; and several nieces and nephews, one great-niece and a host of friends and extended family. Mrs. Gandolfi worked 20 years at the Sylvania Plant in Brookville and also had a 20-year career as a library assistant at Clarion University of Pennsylvania's Carlson Library. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion where she was active in the Chimers, the funeral dinners team, Circle Group and sewing group. "Sonny" Hartzell Chester E. "Sonny" Hartzell, 71, of St. Mark Church Road, Knox, died at 8:38 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at UPMC Northwest, Seneca. Born Oct. 24, 1933, in Clintonville, he was the son of George E. and Mary Slater Hartzell. At the age of 7, he moved with his family to a farm on St. Mark Road where he most recently lived. Mr. Hartzell served with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He was stationed in Germany where he served with CIA personnel at the Berlin Wall. He worked in the forming department of Knox Glass from 1957 until the plant closed in 1987. Mr. Hartzell then worked for Glenshaw Glass in Etna until 1995. From 1995 until his health failed in April 2004, he managed Selker Brothers Gulf Station at Interstate 80, Exit 53. Mr. Hartzell enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, horses and dogs. He first was married to Elva Beichner, who survives. He married again in October 1985 to Margaret Grantz, who also survives. Born March 22, 1928, in Oil City he was the son of the late John and Anna Lauer Schettler. He was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph High School. A corporal in the U.S. Army, Mr. Schettler served during the Korean Conflict in Great Britain. He was a member of St. Stephen Church. Mr. Schettler enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, vacationing with his family, and his Volkswagen Beetle. After his retirement in 1991, he started to furnish his home and the homes of his children with pieces of custom made furniture - made by a craftsman with a lot of love and toil. Mr. Schettler first worked for Oilwell Supply, then later at Asel's Cabinet Shop in McClintockville, which he later purchased. He retired as owner/operator in January 1991 after 31 years in the trade. He was married on Oct. 7, 1950, to the former Patricia A. White of Siverly in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Oil City. The late Rev. Francis Kaltenbach officiated. In addition to his wife, Mr. Schettler is survived by six children and their spouses, Thomas P. and Kathleen A. Born Sept. 13, 1932, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Clair D. and Mae E. Lumadue Wilsoncroft. Mrs. Thompson attended public schools in Clearfield. She later attended Edinsburgh School of Nursing where she studied dentistry, psychiatry and medicine. She also attended the Miracle Revival Fellowship, where she received her ordination and minister's license in 1972. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed reaching out to others and spreading God's word, leading Bible studies and participating in mission trips to help others. In her earlier years, she worked as a nurse and doctor's assistant at various hospitals in Clearfield, Pittsburgh and Florida. After receiving her ordination, she and her husband ministered at several evangelistic churches in the Clearfield area, and most recently in Oil City. She often led a worship service at the civic center in Curwensville. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Women's Aglow organization, a faith-based women's group in Ohio. Most recently, she attended the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Franklin. She was married Sept. 27, 1959, in Kingsland, Ga., to Harold A. Thompson, who survives. He is a resident at the Oil City Presbyterian Home. Mr. Thompson, a retired naval officer, was also very active with his wife in their evangelistic and music ministry. Also surviving are two children, Debra M. Laird of Seneca and James L. Thompson of Franklin; nine brothers and sisters, Milford J.
