    3. Linda, You will note that Rachel L. ORR (16 years old in the 1870 census) does not show up in the 1860 census, where she should be 6 years old!! And also note that the ages from 1860 to 1870 do not all increment by 10, which could be a census taker error. Or an error made by the person who was interviewed by the census taker. I can't wait to get the info from the deed you mentioned. Since we have talked about issue before, I will check to see if you have already sent the deed information to me. pat. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Orr" <lworr@madbbs.com> To: <PACLARIO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 7:16 AM Subject: Re: [CLARION] John Orr and Sarah Delp Orr Family Info - very limited.... > Hi Patrick > We have corresponded before about this issue and I agree it gets more > confusing the harder you try to figure what on earth is going on... > {parts of this message was deleted for brevity's sake} > > Linda > > Patrick J. 3. Hi Patrick We have corresponded before about this issue and I agree it gets more confusing the harder you try to figure what on earth is going on. Someplace in my file, of course I can't put my finger on it, I have a copy of a deed that seems to indicate that Sarah Delp and Sarah Dunn are indeed one in the same person. And I have come to the conclusion that John S was married to Sarah and to Rachel., John S. had a son John J. who ( just to make matters worse) was John C. John C was my husband uncle. Anyway the other thing is that there was at least one other John Orr living in the same area about the same time. So.............around and around you go. I think I have probably added to your confusion but I will look for that deed and make a copy for you. The deed was between Sarah and another apparently after John S died. My take on it is that Sarah Delp was a household helper after Rachel died ???? who knows but that seems to make sense. The other thing is that the old style of hand writting makes it difficult to discern between some letters and S and J are a couple of them. So I will look and see if I can locate that later today. 1. Re: [CLARION] William Switzer family 1870's adopted kids?
    2. There is no indication of these kids not being children of Wm and Martha Switzer other than their DNA not matching. I did find out that Wm and Martha were living in Venango Co. during the 1870 period and this is when the two were conceived. Maybe there were some family problems at this time. Martha claims all 11 children are hers so I have to assume they were sired by someone else. Thanks for the info and thoughts! Two of the male lines have different DNA from the Switzer's and from each other. I am trying to find out if these kids were adopted or extended family members. Wm was married to Martha Cochran Price. If anyone might know of these families I would appreciate the help. I research a Campbell line from Indiana County, Pennsylvania and thought that the photo may be related to my Campbell line. The photo looks very old it is a cabinet style photo. The photo includes Mr. Campbell his wife and 2 children. The back of this photo says Tom Campbell and family, brother of Charley Campbell, also the name Lydia Foster is written in pencil. The photo was taken in Butler, Pa. There were also several other photos from the same seller that all seemed to be related. I assume that they are related to this family because there were post cards with names on them from the same seller. They were dated early 1900's and gave the following clues... Hattie Campbell post card knox pa Mrs Chas Campbell knox, Clarion Pa Harriet Campbell route 1 knox, pa Clarion Co W P and R Alexander Building, Main Street, Clarion Pa, from Inez Ray Miola Pa Hattie Campbell from cousin Della Some of the other photos were named but a majority were identified. The names were as follows... George Miller Clarion, Pa Bertha, Jessie, Rose and Effie, taken in Knox, Pa Some of the photos were taken with the same carmera and others were taken in the Clarion area. I copied all of them. If you are interested please let me know, or if you have additional information. ==== PACLARIO Mailing List ==== List suggestions or problems??
