Sorry Larry Nothing in Humphey's Births book for them; but as I said, his book was not all encompassing! I also checked wills book I have for 1801-1825 and nothing there either for Harbison, but this book is after yours left Chester Co. Have you checked this site for PA Archives? http://www.iarchives.com/anc_04/search.jsp?toc=b6ssqujqas8 If it asks about a viewer or something, just answer with 'Yes' or Y! Just type in your surname and see what results you find! Good luck! I have been researching the heritage of my gggg grandfather John Harbison, suspected to have been born in Chester Co., PA circa 1747. He was married in Augusta County, VA in 1765. John is believed to have brothers James and Arthur - the three of whom eventually ending up settling in Mercer County, Kentucky, in the early 1770's. James Harbison has been confirmed as having been living in Chester County, PA circa 1770 (when his daughter Elizabeth, b. 1764, attended school in Chester County). I know nothing of whom John's parents were or when (and from where) the family immigrated to America. I would very much like to find this information. I would appreciate it if you would check Humphrey's book for information on James, John and Arthur. It could be that a record of Elizabeth's birth would also yield some information of value. Thank you in advance for any help you can be to me in my search. Judge Wilson was b. 1794 in Loudoun Co. and married Mary S. DAvidson of Wheeling Va. (W.Va.) I believe his father could be a brother to my John and Jacob Wilson. I also believe that John's father's name is William based on the naming pattern they used back then. If that holds true then Jacob and John are not brothers unless Jacob's first born is not his first born because that would mean his father was John. > > Judge Wilson's is supposedly 1 of 2 or 3 boys whose father died when they were young and they were left poor to be raised by their mother.
