    3. I've "rescued" the original marriage certificate belonging to Jeremiah UNDERWOOD and his bride Elizabeth HALE who were married in Chester County, Pennsylvania on the 11th of October 1838. The ceremony was officiated by John W. THOMAS Esqr. and witnessed by John UNDERWOOD and Jane UNDERWOOD. Based on limited research I believe this may be Jeremiah UNDERWOOD b. 1805 in Chester Co., PA to parents John & Mary Jane UNDERWOOD. Jeremiah UNDERWOOD died 12 April 1885. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old piece of family history can be returned to its rightful place with family.
