My ancestor, Sarah Hughes, b.1830, the daughter of John Hughes and Rebecca Walton married William S. Barnard, b. ab.1817. They lived in Chester County, in Coatesville, at the time of the 1880 census. I find them in no other census listings in Ancestry.. Sarah died in Delaware County, at the home of her daughter, Margaret Thompson, in 1916. She is buried in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, Chester County. (I was unable to find records of the grave, after visiting the pastor of the Church.) I am especially interested in learning more about William S. Barnard. For years, I have been trying to connect him with the prominent Barnard Quaker family in Chester County, (E. Fallowfield, etc.) I am now inclined to believe that he had no connection to them, and I would love to get some documented information. I would also be pleased to learn more about Sarah's parents. Apparently her father came from England. Can anyone help me with this puzzle? I would appreciate it very much. Thank you. Hilma
