    3. Would a child be able to be baptised in the Reformed Church if the mother was not married and the child was illegitimate? I am trying to track down 2 births using baptismal records. Both boys may have been illegitimate. Mother Lusetta Hipple-no record of marriage found yet. (Possible) child Henry E. Christman b. abt. 1858 living with grandparents James and Susanna Fisher Hipple and Lusetta in the 1860 East Coventry census, James and Susanna in 1870 census, and Susanna in 1880 census listed as "grandson". (Proved) child Harry James Wells b. January 8, 1869 (?) living with grandmother Susanna Fisher Hipple in 1880 census listed as "grandson". James and Susanna Fisher Hipple were members of the East Vincent Reformed Church. The records of the church lists a death date for a Susanna Hipple of April 21, 1885, however information given to me states that she and James were buried in the Zion Church, Spring City. Are these the same church or are they two different churches? Thanks, Jackie Wells Lubinski [email protected]
