    3. [I tried sending this earlier today and my mail server has been having a real problem all day, so if this shows up a second time, please forgive me.] Greetings! I've been doing some research today about this rather odd group known as the Battle Axes who were active in North Coventry township and have found some really interesting information about the group, but have been left with a few questions. I've written an article for my website (link below in my sigline) but I'm wondering if anyone here might have some answers. The female leader of the Battle Axes was one Hannah Williamson, daughter of a Quaker family, and being a Williamson descendant, I wonder which family she belongs to. One articles describes her thusly: "(who is also a member of the society of Socialists, and sister to ____ Williamson, who is imprisoned in new York, a year of two since, for marrying a coloured man,) As one of the articles I found mentions that A Lydia Williamson was also charged in relation to this sect, she may be the unnamed sister, but I don't know for sure. At this point, I am very curious about these Williamson sisters and would love to know more if anyone has any information about them or anything else about this unusual sect! -Mary http://gen.atleeridge.us/ Southeastern PA Genealogy and History
