Does anyone know if there are records for illegitimate births for Chester County from approx 1855 to 1875? I am looking for the birth record of 2 people: Henry Christman born abt 1858-1860-living with his grandmother Susan Hipple in 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. Possible mother is Lusetta Hipple, Susan's daughter, listed in the 1860 census only. Harry James Wells born abt. 1867-1869-living with his grandmother Susan Hipple in 1880 census only. Mother IS Lusetta Hipple, Susan's daughter. She is not listed in 1870 census. According to Harry's obit in 1916, his parents died "when he was a child". On Harry's marriage record to Anna Corle Durling his father is listed as a "James Wells of Pennsylvania". Thanks, Jackie Wells Lubinski [email protected]
