    3. Hi Wendy, Yes, maybe you can help me. In my search form my Irish, railroad workers, lol In my search over the years I have found some clues that my Daniel Baker's brother might be the Washington R. Baker postmaster of GlenLoch from 1885-1889. It was run in his store for those years but then later moved to Glen Loch station.(now torn down) Which Idon't think is in the Whiteland area you mentioned but what's interesting is that both of the brother's Washington R. Baker and Daniel Baker married two Sharp sister's. Washington married a Phebe and Daniel married Tamar. The sister's father Samuel Sharp who worked for the railroad was killed in 1873 by a frieght train in Parksburg, Chester Co. Susanna Sharp then went to live with her daughter Phebe and son inlaw Washington Baker until she died in 1887 and was buried at the Malvern cemetery I would love to confirm my hypothesis joining these two families. Do you have any of these names though in your book of Irish RR.workers? Thanks in advance, Esther Daniel Baker, b.abt:1834,d.abt:1883(sibs.:Washington Baker, Glenloch postmaster 1885-1889) m.1857,Tamar Sharp,b.1837,d.?(par:Samuel and Suanna Sharp)(sibs:Abigail Yarnell,Anna Essicks,Phebe Baker) chld:John Baker, b.1858,d.1936(sibs:Henery,Sarah Broomall,Samuel,William, Mary, Margaret)W.Chester C.Co.1860c-1880c,Middletown,Del.Co. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy Mclean" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 08, 2004 9:09 PM Subject: [PACHESTE] Irish railway workers graves > Today's Daily Local News has an article about the search for a mass grave of Irish railway workers in East Whiteland Township. > > http://www.dailylocal.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=10935925&BRD=1671&PAG=461&dep t_id=17782&rfi=6 > > > ==== PACHESTE Mailing List ==== > Visit the PA GenWeb Archives at > http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/pafiles.htm >
