I guess I'll try again with my Chester County dead ends. My mom and I went to Chester County in October and found a teeny bit of info on our line, but maybe someone out there can help: John SMITH Sr. and John SMITH Jr., West Nantmeal township, 1800-1810. John SMITH Jr. married to Mary Anna Ross THOMPSON, daughter of John THOMPSON and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a widow for several years, and died in 1805 or so. I have wills for Elizabeth THOMPSON and her father-in-law, Archibald THOMPSON. Am trying to locate more information on John SMITH Sr. - where did he come from (born app. 1750), how did he obtain his property in West Nantmeal township, what happened to him after 1810 when his son moved away, etc. Also, I need to find out where/how Archibald THOMPSON obtained his property. He was paying taxes on in as early as 1750, but I couldn't find record of a deed. I visited West Nantmeal township and took some photographs. It is a beautiful area. Any connections?
