I am researching Nathaniel Cartmell, who arrived in the colonies in 1685. He settled in New Castle Co. DE, although I believe at that time it was part of Chester Co., PA. Phil: In the book 'Chester Co Births, 1682-1800', by John T Humphrey, pub 194, p27: Nathaniel Cartmill and wife Dorety had these 2 children: Martin born 19 1mo 1685 Thomas born 29 2mo 1689 Both at Kennett Square Monthly Meeting, estab. 1686. So maybe some Quaker record searches will help?
