I would like to look through the Village Record for possible birth/marriage/death info for my ggrandparents James Wells and Lus(c/z)etta Hipple of Coventry and Vincent Twps., Chester Co. Lusetta b. 1844 was the daughter of James Hipple b. 1809 d. March 19, 1879 and Susanna Fisher b. April 24, 1808 d. April 21, 1885. James and Lusetta had son Harry James Wells b. about January 9, 1867/68/69 (age discrepancy in census records). According to Harry's obit (d.12/12/1916-South Bound Brook, NJ) his parents died when he was a child. I have found Harry in the 1880 census living with his grandmother Susanna Fisher Hipple, but have been unable to find any references to a marriage for James and Lusetta or death references for them either. While I have Lusetta's ancestry, James has posed a problem as I have no other info other than his name. His ancestry may belong to John Wells and Susanna Martin-Quakers of Chester County, whose descendents have some connections to the Hipple line. I see stuff posted for the Village Record all the time and was wondering if their issues were available online or available for viewing somewhere. Also is there any other newspaper in the Coventry/Vincent Twp. areas whose copies are available for viewing for the time frame 1835-1890? Thanks, Jackie Wells Lubinski [email protected]
