Hi Karen & List, I read your post with interest Karen, as I am a descendant of John Guss and Hannah Jung (Young). I printed your message and have briefly scanned the reference book that I have on the Guss family. In it, it states that Charles Guss, Jr. lived with his great grandfather Conrad Shunk, and that he needed a guardian appointed when he inherited the property as he was underage.
