I wish to thank everyone who answered my request for Kirkner help. As I am only subscribed to the Ancestry.com USA Census, I am especially thankful for the Draft registration. Norval's father George was born in 1861. The Kirkners seem to have stayed in Chester County forever and I am sure there are a lot of records there. My biggest handicap is living in Oregon, it's quite a jaunt to PA to research. Norval married Helen Wallis who died in West Chester, Chester County in 1980. They had a daughter, Grace who was born in 1915. If there is anyone who would like to work on this family privately with me...I'm all for it. Thank you.
