    1. [PACHESTE] My Guests for Thanksgiving
    2. Arlene Gemmill
    3. I would love to invite my ancestors who served in the Revolution: Joseph Irwin; John Gemmill; Robert Boyd and their relatives. Firstly, I would want to thank them for the wonderful government and country that they helped found. I really feel thankful towards them for all their sacrifices and hardships to "secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and for our posterity" and would welcome a chance to tell them. It would be so fabulous to hear their stories and know more about their lives, their histories, and their hopes and aspirations. Jeffersonian democrats, they would undoubtedly be dismayed about the present government in Washington and the awful turn things have taken in the last six years. But I would hasten to assure them that the government is turning around in recent weeks. And that there are still many Americans who know and venerate the Constitution, all is not lost. Secondly, I would want my ancestors at the Thanksgiving table to help celebrate the recent election returns. Living in San Francisco I would want them to know about Nancy Pelosi becoming the new Speaker of the House. Imagine, not only can women vote, they can hold highest office now! Whoeee! Cause for Thanksgiving. Thirdly, it would be so amazing to show my ancestors how much the country has changed since ca. 1800 when they died. From sea to shining sea. I would probably take Joe, John and Bob out to the beach so they could dip a toe in the Pacific Ocean they never got to really learn of. And just drag them around the City so they could appreciate how much everything has changed since their day but the new country and Constitution still stands. We have endured. I think they deserve to know that their sacrifices have borne so much fruit and to meet some of their posterity. Joe, John and Bob's descendant, Arlene Gemmill
