Michigan in 1860 or 70; I do find, in 1860, a 7 yr old James Wallace, b. Michigan, living in Michigan....however, finding him in 1870 shows his father b. Scotland in 1880 Phila I do find a Francis Wallis, b. Michigan, parents b. As I am only subscribed to the Ancestry.com USA Census, I am especially thankful for the Draft registration. Norval's father George was born in 1861. The Kirkners seem to have stayed in Chester County forever and I am sure there are a lot of records there. My biggest handicap is living in Oregon, it's quite a jaunt to PA to research. Norval married Helen Wallis who died in West Chester, Chester County in 1980. They had a daughter, Grace who was born in 1915.
