James, 44, doctor Mary 36 Helen 16, b. PA Edith 12, b. NJ Marshall 10, b. NJ Charles 8, b. PA Frederick, son, age unreadable but seems to show him under the age of 1 by Marshall's info, they had to be in NJ until just before 1900, when they moved to PA since there is no 1890 census, we won't find them until we get back to 1880; none of the children will have yet been born by the ages above, James would have been abt. 14 in 1880; therefore born abt. 1855/56 I do not find a James Wallis b. Michigan in 1860 or 70; I do find, in 1860, a 7 yr old James Wallace, b. Michigan, living in Michigan....however, finding him in 1870 shows his father b. Scotland in 1880 Phila I do find a Francis Wallis, b. Michigan, parents b. PA, age 12 : James M, 55, druggist Annie M, 50 Fannie 21 Mary K 16 John E 24 Francis, 12 I think this is very likely your James Francis. do you wish me to continue? -----Original Message----- From: Nancy Finch [mailto:finch62@msn.com] Sent: Monday, November 27, 2006 10:33 PM To: PACHESTE@rootsweb.com Subject: [PACHESTE] Norval Kirkner I wish to thank everyone who answered my request for Kirkner help. As I am only subscribed to the Ancestry.com USA Census, I am especially thankful for the Draft registration. Norval's father George was born in 1861. The Kirkners seem to have stayed in Chester County forever and I am sure there are a lot of records there. My biggest handicap is living in Oregon, it's quite a jaunt to PA to research. Norval married Helen Wallis who died in West Chester, Chester County in 1980. They had a daughter, Grace who was born in 1915. If there is anyone who would like to work on this family privately with me...I'm all for it. Thank you. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to PACHESTE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
