Good morning lists, If anyone would like a lookup for a relative who died in the Chester City area in Delaware Co., PA or who may have been transported to the Chester area to be buried bet. May 1887-1896 -- please e-mail at: HMWEBBER@aol.com Please put your relatives name on the subject line, with the surname in capital LETTERS. In transcribing the E. F. WHITE funeral records, I found it very difficult to ascertain what transaction was taking place. It could be any of the following: 1) A funeral. 2) A wagon hired to transport a body to or from the railroad station. 3) A cab hired to transport people to a funeral, a wedding, etc. 4) A cab hired for a visit to see friends or for local business. 5) A cab/wagon hired to transport items needed, maybe for a funeral -- coffin, etc. Of course, these records give "Names," "Dates of death or burial," & "Notes." Under notes, I listed the cemetery where buried, (if given), the decedent's address or any other pertinent info given. Helen M.
