Searching for a family ancestor, Henry Rogers, who had a daughter Anna/Annie,b. 1790. She married John Jacob Beck in Washington Co., IN, and they went to the Republic of Texas and took land grant in the Mercer Colony. He married JENKINS, Sarah in Chester Co, PA, 00/00/1700's. (JENKINS, Sarah #37.) Taken from report by the Monroe Historical Society: Henry was steady and frugral in his disposition and habits. A stalwart. He was thought to be a sturdy, industrious, honest man. Both good at building and guarding forts and fighting Indians. He was thought of as a good neighbor and citizen.
