According to research by the late LEWIS D. COOK, F.A.S.G., F.G.S.P., ANTHONY DE NORMANDIE was living in Phoenixville, Chester Co., PA., in 1850 census. I have not had any luck finding this census myself. Has anyone heard or seen any records for him in Chester County. The will of AMOS STRICKLAND of Newtown, Bucks County, Gentlemen, dated 31 March 1799 and probated 24 December 1779, named my wife MARGARET, son AMOS, daughters RACHEL, ELIZABETH and FRANCES. The will of AMOS STRICKLAND, JR. of Fallsington, Bucks County, dated 15 May 1797 and probated 24 may 1797, named my nephews JOHN, AMOS ANTHONY, and JAMES DE NORMANDIE, sons of my sister ELIZABETH DE NORMANDIE. As widow of DR. JAMES DE NORMANDIE, she married JACOB KESLER, innkeeper and first Postmaster of Newtown, Bucks County, appointed in 1800. 49 JACOB KESLER was listed in the Federal census of Newtown 1810, but his estate is not found in the county probate records.
