Lee.......... There is a BIO on the Berks Co Board about a John SPONAGLE with some of his children being in Chester Co. There was a son George and a John. You may want to go thru it to see if any connection to the ones you are looking for. Go to www.rootsweb.com/~paberks/ click on 'Montgomery Project' in the left sidebar. Then scroll down the right side of the new page to 'marriages indexes' and look for a George SPONAGLE in the male index names. Click on the name and it will bring up the page in the book - 'History of Berks Co' by Morton Montgomery, pub 1909. George is in 2 diff BIOs.....Based on the info he was born 1810 died 1895, age 85. He had brothers John and Samuel and a sister Mary m Albert BELL of Robeson. They seemed to be Meth/Episcopal. Maybe the brother John is related to yours? Since, the children are John's stepchildren in 1828 and the youngest is 5, that would also suggest that the Amole marriage to Hannah ended between 1822 and 1828. There is no relationship note regarding Elizabeth (born around 1827). Depending on who her father was, it should make Hannah's Amole marriage ending range to be 1822-1825 1/2 OR 1825 1/2 - 1828. Also, in looking for Hannah's parents, I now have no idea what her maiden name was. If anybody has information on any of these families, I would appreciate the info. Thank you.
