    1. [PACHESTE] Rebecca Woodward Family Bible, 1849

    3. Hello, I could use some help on my Woodward brick wall. Who are the parents of Thomas Woodward, born about 1770-1780, probably in Chester County, PA, and married Rebecca Millard about 1790-1800. I am trying to find living descendants of Rebecca Woodward, or any researchers knowing of Woodward families in Robeson Twp, Caernarvon Twp, or Reading in Berks Co, or W. Nantmeal Twp, Warwick Twp, Spring City, Coatesville, or Chester Springs in Chester Co. Rebecca outlived her husband Thomas by 40 years, and in 1849 she bequeathed her precious family bible to her son Lewis. Lewis died in 1881 in Berks County, and is buried at St. James Lutheran in Geigertown. Lewis had 3 sons who survived him. The eldest was Thomas M Woodward, who died in 1910, also buried at St. James in Geigertown. The next was Evan C. Woodward. I don't know when or where he died, but he raised his family in Reading. Next was Lewis M. Woodward, who died in Caernarvon Twp, Berks Co in 1909. His children lived mostly in Chester Co, in Spring City, Coatesville, and Chester Springs, where their children probably remained. If I could find that bible, I'm sure it would identify the parents of her husband, Thomas Woodward. At present, I still have several possible Thomas Woodwards as potential husbands. Any comments, hints, or suggestions regarding the above families and the subject bible are welcome. Bruce Fosnocht
