About two years ago, a list I was on received over 400 emails one night. Seems a subscriber had gone on vacation and put an autoresponse in place. Every time a message came in the autoresponder sent a note back saying he was out. As the messages were returned to his system from the list, the autoresponder would send out another response to the previous response. The list manager finally just had to unsubscribe the fellow. As the asying goes, "stuff happens!" I've been into computers for more than 30 yrs. I used to state that computers were logical. Then I realized humans build computers and some of our illogical patterns seem to rub off on the durn things. As my kids would say, "Take a chill pill." Life's too short to worry about a bunch of messages coming in. In my case that is close to 1000 a day for all the lists I'm on. Delete! Delete! Delete!
