Dear Mary, I am trying to find a place where I can acquire copies of obits from either of the Philly papers or the Pottstown Mercury in a time frame of 1950-1999. I've written both papers, and they suggested libraries, but I don't know which libraries are the most reliable or able to fill such a large time span. Sincerely, Charles Ott
As for Philadelphia -- try at the PA Genealogical Society on Locust (1300 - I think). I found a lot of info from Phila papers and even the Phoenixville paper at the Chester County Historical Society. They have files upon files listed by surnames, organizations, and municipalities. --Jeanne Eckman's Computer Services Quality service at affordable prices.
