"...This may be the answer: _Nall Families of America_ p. 47 lists Sally NALLE as d/o Wm. & Ann GATEWOOD NALLE; b. abt 1788-90 in Culpeper Co., VA, married 2 Jan 1816 to Jos. BOWEN. "They apparently left no living children. In his will Joseph Bowen stipulated that after his wife's death, his slaves were to be emancipated, and he left his estate to them.
