Hi..I have been looking for months on the Montgomery county list with no nibbles at all. My g and gg grandfather THOMSON came out from Scotland and worked at papermill in Royersford in 1850's with a new process there using wood .( It was the only one of its type in America.) My g grandfather married Elizabeth McCOY in Phoenixville while there and I am looking for her family. As she was only 16,(born in 1840) I would expect they would live nearby but have not even seen any Scotch names. The census always says she was born in US. Does anyone even have information on the Royersford mill at that time? Hope to hear from someone.I have just been told there were Scottish paper makers in Chester county and so am trying here. Dorothy
