Over the years I have enjoyed giving advice but I'm now finding most of my time is spent doing this. Hence, I would like to compile a list of people who would be interested in being a member/advisor of the society by having an area of expertise &/or giving out genealogy advice on research in Delaware Co., PA. I for one, do not know everything there is to know about genealogy &/or Delaware Co. I would like to bring the many genealogist of Delaware County together collectively-- more heads are better than one, especially mine! :) >> Hi Helen, Are you only looking for folks who live in DELCO now? Or are you looking for help from others as well? I am currently in the first stages of the "Freedmen's Prodject". This prodject deals with Native American's, former slaves, and their family applications being transcribed from micro fishe into a large database.I have already been told to expect many to inquire about their ancestry.I would be more then happy, to help any resident of DELCO, or otherwise find these roots, if they exist.I currently have access to the DAWES and WALLACE rolls. As soon as grant appoval is given by NARA, I will get my reader and micro-fishe rolls.I am already helping others find their ancestry, and the one's I have not found, I put on a "LOOK FOR" list. Then at a later date, as more info comes in, I will re- research their family names. If I can be of any help, please let me know. I have saw your resume on another post this morning, and compliment you on your achivements in geneology. You have surely put alot into the field. I hope someday, to be able to do the same.
