This is a request aimed at all you local folks.......I'm FINALLY going to get to visit Chester co, after reading about it all these years, and need your help planning my trip. I'll be in Philadelphia for 5 days, and then will take a few days to visit Chester on my way home to WV. Ann Wiegle has sent me some great info on the Middletown Meeting house and cemetery, where many of my folks are buried. She also recommends the Historical soc. Another has suggested the Richard Woodward home in Thornbury, on Concord Rd. I'd also like to see the Morton Morton house, and need some directions to it. My family helped establish Concord.....the Newlins...so I'd like suggestions about that area, and any family places. I know about the Newlin mill in Chad's Ford, and will certainly visit that....but, the Phipps also had mills, and one was on the Muckinipattus, about a mile below Darby.... the mill burned, but I wondered if anything was left, or the spot was marked, etc, The Phipps also had a mill on Buck's Run, in West Fallowfield. I'd be interested in anything you feel no one should miss when they visit Chester co, and appreciate any suggestions. Some family names are Mendenhall, Baker, Baily, Crosby, Woodyear, Woodward, Phipps, Pusey, VanCulin, Morton, to give you something to take into consideration. Sandra
