Quite some time ago now SOMEONE sent me an e-mail with a reference that listed TWO Francis SMITHs as purchasing land from Wm PENN on 8-9 Sep 1681. One was identified as having purchased 500 acres and one was identified as purchasing 5000 acres. One was identified as a "gentleman, of Devizes, Wilts" and I can't remember how the other one was identified. It is now VERY PERTINENT that I find that reference and find out how the other Francis SMITH was identified!!! Can ANYONE on the list help me out with this. It is driving me WILD. I KNOW I didn't dream it. But I can NOT find the e-mail or reference ANYWHERE. I am tearing my hair out in frustration. I'm sure none of you want to see a bald-headed, 50+ year old lady running around babbling like a brook!!! Judy Ardine in MI
