I have a close friend whose family has lived in Delaware City for 60 years or more. I'd be happy to ask her where historical records for the town are kept or if the family knew of any Sadlers. We work together also. My guess is you could try either the Delaware Historical Society in Wilmington, Delaware or, I know the archives are kept in Dover, Delaware. < I lived in Delaware City from 1972-1980 and know it fairly well. Very small town where Pea Patch Island is located, the Andersonville of the North during the Civil War. I can almost guarantee that there are no records, except church records, to be found there. Most of the early families in Delaware City were Watermen. Living off of fishing there on the Delaware Bay, marsh trapping (mostly muskcrat), and duck and geese hunting. Though there is also a good bit of farming in that area. Ray
