As many others of you, I have watched the list manager allow two somewhat troubled people ruin what was once a great list. I have continued doing lookups , sending the results to only the person who queried, for I certainly do not feel comfortable sharing things with the list in general, for reasons you are all painfully aware of. But, I kept thinking what a waste of good data, that could perhaps benefit so many. So, I am starting a new list, to be called the PA-OLD-CHESTER, and you will subscribe the same way you do to all the others. The interest of the list will be the ORIGINAL Chester County, and take in all lands encompassed in Penn's original Chester co. I also plan to be a list adm. who takes a positive roll in the list, and adds to the general knowledge of the list members, not just as an occasional disciplinarian.........the list is not quite up and running yet, and I hadn't planned to tell you all about it quite yet, but after Anne's post this AM I am afraid that many will drop out before I get a chance to let them know that there is soon to be an alternative to this nuttiness. So, please check periodically for us to get going, and join us when we once more get back to some "fun" genealogy.......just remember, the sign in the window says "N complainers or kooks need apply."
