However, Thornbury is in Chester Co. Concord Rd. also spans Chester Co. There is a Concordville south of West Chester; I'm not sure which township it is in. West Fallowfield is in western Chester Co. You'll certainly need to plan your trip to see all that you want to see! -----Original Message----- From: HMWEBBER@aol.com <HMWEBBER@aol.com> To: PACHESTE-L@rootsweb.com <PACHESTE-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, August 17, 2000 3:09 PM Subject: Re: [PACHESTE] Chester Trip > Hi, > > I think you are lost because most of the places you are visiting >are in Delaware Co., not Chester Co., PA. Sandy - it might do you well to visit our Web Site and look at the historic maps of Chester County - from 1683 to the present http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Farm/4038/Chester.html Newlin Township, which is the property originally owned by the Newlins, is sort of up in the center of Chester County, and was also in 1715, so I wonder if there wasn't an older Newlin Mill than the one mentioned in Concord Township below. You'll probably find some of your family names on the 1683 Survey - I'm not sure how well one could coordinate that with a modern map to see where to look - you might just want overview photos of the land your ancestors originally owned. I took some of those in Scotland and they are among my most precious as I can look at them and imagine the olden days.
