I have run into a Brethren, Pa Dutch ancestor giving me a name dillema. The ancestor's burial record says that his wife was named Sarah. I also have a marriage record for who I think is this same ancestor and it gives the wife's first name as Salome. Is anyone familiar with the name Salome and could Sarah be a translation or nickname?
