    2. Good morning again, I'm sorry the last e-mail I sent was not readable! I'll try again! The next Civil War lecture will be tomorrow night, 10 August 2000 at 7:00 at the Marcus Hook Elementary School, (side door for the auditorium). The school is located at 8th & Market Sts., Marcus Hook & the lector is Frank Vattelana, Jr. He will give a slide show on the 97th Reg't, PA Inf, (Brooke Guards). The following is a copy of the program that will be given out tomorrow night for these of you who cannot make the lecture: The 97th Reg't PA Inf (Brooke Guards) By Frank Vattelana Frank Vattelana, Jr., is a resident of Oxford, Chester Co., PA. He has been married for 21 years & is the father of 2 children. Frank is an employee of Wyeth Ayrest Labs in West Chester, where he has worked for 24 years & is currently a machine operator. A graduate of Henderson High School, Class of 1973. Frank is currently constructing a website on the 97th Reg't PA, with a friend from Allentown & has been researching the 97th Reg't for many years. His vacations are spent traveling & retracing every step the 97th took in its course of skirmishes, battles & all other endeavors. Having all this knowledge on the 97th Frank does lectures & slide shows on this regiment. On the first Wednesday of the month from Sept. to June, The BRANDYWINE VALLEY CIVIL WAR ROUNDTABLE meets in West Chester & Frank is a member. If you go to the website listed below you will see Frank dressed as a Sergeant in the 97th Reg't PA--he is holding a rifle. In his Civil War collection there is currently over a 100 photos of different men from the 97th Reg't, with a fair amount of men from Delaware Co. As far as he knows, he has the largest known collection of photos of men in this regiment--more than the Carlisle War College & The Chester County Historical Society combined. He also, has the regimental history of the 97th Reg't PA, as well as the reunion book of the regiment--a very rare book! Just recently acquired, was a copy, of the dairy of a veteran in the 97th Reg't, Co. K & a Memorial Day 1898 photo of The Civil War Veteran's Reunion at Marshall Square Park in West Chester.
