I'm wondering what newspapers were available during the mid to late 1800's in the Chester Co. area. I know that the Village Record was around. Were there any other papers that would have been used to announce deaths, etc.? I'm specifically looking to find if there was an obituary of sorts for George Chrisman Sr. of Coventry (I think South Coventry by the time he died). He was a very wealthy iron master who died about 1864. Any help is greatly appreciated. Chris Lehr
