Does anyone on the list know if there is a record of an index to Orphans Court records available? My gr2grandfather George Washington SAVAGE died in 1/12/1856. He had 3 young children who who survived: Minerva, Clara and George Wilmot SAVAGE, widow was Charlotte K (MOHR) SAVAGE. I have found, from an index of grantor-grantee records for Chester Co, that there is nothing for him in 1856 or therebouts. He died without a will as there is also nothing in the WIlls index. So that only leaves the Orphans Court for the minor children. He lived in E Coventry area according to the 1850 Census. Is there anyone who can check the Orphan's court to see if there was anything filed for his estate about his children? Thank you so much. In Birmingham AL audiana@webtv.net Diana
