    3. Hello Jad, I notice that Peter Dicks had a son named Job. While it would be easy to assume that was a Biblical name and nothing more, there was also a family with the surname of Job (later Jobe) who tended to give Job either as a given name or middle name to the children of female Jobs. There tended to be Quakers or some other form of Protestant and many migrated to Rowan Co NC (mine did). The Immigrant was Andrew Job Sr and there's a very active JOBE-L@rootsweb.com list as well as at least one website...perhaps more. Check the archives. You might also want to check the archives of various regional lists in NC...I've seen the Dyck/Dick name mentioned occaisionally.
