    1. [PACHESTE] Brewley-Brawley-Bralley
    2. Edgar M (Russ) Bralley
    3. I'm researching the family of Bralley/Brawley of Wythe County, VA. Our name has been spelled dozens of ways over the years. Originally from Cork, Ireland, before relocating to SW VA in 1769, the family resided in SE PA. John Bralley, my 5th great grandfather was enumerated in West Nottingham in Chester County (and variously Cecil County, MD) in the 1750's and 1760's. A Thomas Brawley is also found in Chester at the same time. Earlier, a Thomas Brawley was buried in the burying grounds of Christ Church in Philadelphia in February of 1733. I believe he was the Thomas Braly/Brally who was master of the brig Pennswood, a merchant ship which is mentioned in the early 1700's in Franklin's Pennsylvania Gazette, entering and exiting from the port of Philadelphia with cargoes of wine, etc. To my surprise, I found a John Brewley listed in Bucks County, PA records online, having 500 acres of land surveyed on 25 March 1738. Is there anyone familiar with these early Bucks County warrants who could tell me more about this John Brewley? Did he actually live in Bucks, and, if so, where? Can anyone tell me in which township the land was located? I note that there was a Brealy family residing near Maidenhead, NJ from the late 1600's and I wonder if this is a member of that family. Anyway, any help from Bucks County is tremendously appreciated. Thanks in advance.
