    3. Thank you, Gail. I hadn't gotten around to checking NJ yet as my NJ resources are limited to the internet. It was interesting tho, those divorces. You just don't think of divorce that early in this country!! Its a way of life now, of course, but back then? They come as a surprise! That Joseph WIGGOT will from Maryland is particularly interesting. I'll look into purchasing a copy of that one. Judy

He was the first one in PA by late 1600s, died c.11/1707 in Roxborough, Phila Co.. Wish I could find the connection in Merry Ole England! Looking for other sources will also help you do better genealogy, because books are secondary or tertiary sources, several times removed from the actual event, and therefore more likely to have errors. I would suggest another approach: 1) Find a Church of Latter Day Saints Family History Center near you. You can locate one by going to their URL FamilySearch.org They welcome visits by non-church members, and you can order microfilms of all kinds of information from their library at Salt Lake. The films cost $6, take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive, and you have 6 weeks to read them at the family history center. This would give you access to deeds and probate records, which are very helpful in PA as well as a lot of other kinds of records such as tax lists. In addition, the family history center probably has a subscription to Ancestry.com that you can access on their computers. Good luck, Mary -- No virus found in this outgoing message. I hate to bother you after you have contributed some important info to the list, but please send another message clarifying the source(s) for the marriage lists. Thanks. DICK FOLKERTH Dallas
